Pre-season results don't mean anything at all. We could lose all of them and win the league or win them all and finish bottom.

Didn't we lose 0-4 at Crewe in a pre season warm up the same season we got promoted to the Prem?

Warm up's are exactly that but Player wise we are arguably Championship fodder right now.

it's looking pretty obvious that on the last day of the window the club will sign practically anybody who's available

Does anyone recall us losing at Hearts before the first season in the prem? The knives were out for Brown pronto. The media blusterers called us the worse team to ever enter the premier league etc...etc..etc...Total bollox of course. I am not saying we'll walk this league (far from it) but lets not get too downhearted after losing a FRIENDLY.

We were absolutely appalling in that game.

It was a farce when we left the game as well, OB made us walk miles in the wrong direction for absolutely no good reason.

We have this same conversation every ****ing summer... pre season games and performances mean a grand total of **** all. I can't believe people go to them to be honest, the only reason to do so is for a trip to Portugal or wherever. The football itself is pointless.

Why anyone would pay £12 to go to the game at Craven Park is beyond me.

Duff, for me the friendly is of minuscule relevance, as I mentioned friendlies are in the main for fitness and results less important. But a series of poor results as a result of poor performances is of concern.

My disappointment, dissatisfaction, annoyance, exasperation, call it what you will, is the absolute shambolic way the club has been run for the past few seasons, and is currently being run.

Talk about having it all and throwing it away. 3 x Prem League, FA Cup and Europe and whilst others build on similar (Stoke, WBA, Swansea, Southampton maybe even Bournemouth now) and consolidate their position we are going in reverse at some pace.

It really staggers me that there are still a lot of supporters that see little or nothing wrong with the Allams and their petty, spiteful, vindictive dismantling of the club, capped by the most recent 'I would have stayed' utterances from Tom.

There's no guarantee of how we will cope this season, but you can only draw comparisons from other clubs that have gone about things the way we are doing - Portsmouth, Blackpool etc.

In reality Hull City and the football circus it is part of, is nothing when compared to other events such as that incredibly brave little Sunderland supporter.

    But City. ****ing City.

I don't think people are worried about losing friendly games
we are worried about losing our best players and only panic buying late in the window
I know it is early in the window but we are used to how the Allams do business

I like the way the lad from Tigers TV asks him "Any players coming in next week?" You'd think that considering he works for the club he'd be ITK.

You'd also think he'd have picked up that earlier in the Interview Leonid had said "I hope we get some new players in next week"

    I wonder if we will?

And it gets worse, that another post elsewhere refers to Rowett thinking the deal would collapse as we had offered Tom more money! Effectively taking a pay cut to get away from City, despite Tom saying he likes the area, the lifestyle.

That to me is the most damning feature of all of this sorry episode.

Players might not be the most intellectually gifted, or the most loyal, and look after only themselves, but when something stinks and is turning to ****, anyone, footballer or any other profession would think I want out of this.
