    I'd play three centre halves.

    Dawson
    Mazuch
    Hector

    Clark LB
    Aina RB
    Clucas CM
    Meyler CM

    Grosicki LW
    Bowen RW

    Hernandez CF

I think we need more bite in midfield and extra protection at centre half.

I'm worried about Dawson, I have for the last couple of years. He looks completely exposed sometimes, which I guess is understandable with two attack minded CMs and two young, inexperienced full backs. I wonder how Mazuch would do alongside Hector?

    Hull-wolf:

    Lets go for

    Hull 0 Wolves 2

Cant stand Hull from my time living there. Glory hunter fans and a club that belong in league 1.

That made me smile. Of all the clubs you could pick as a glory hunter there can't be many as unlikely as Hull City!

Still nice to see the city of culture made him feel so welcome :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Slightly off topic but he was on Alan Bazils Sport Breakfast this morning talking about our chances for the season.

One of the questions they asked him as if Slutsky really quite his playing career early because he feel out of a tree while rescuing a cat while a part time fire man. Daws didn't know. He'd heard the story but had dared to ask him yet.

    Actually perhaps it is true:-

"It is true. I got the injury at 19 when I was climbing a tree looking for a neighbour's cat. I ended up as a hero in my village because I saved the cat.
Unfortunately, I also fell out of the tree and injured my knee."
Leonid Slutski, Juande Ramos' successor as CSKA Moscow coach, on the bizarre end to his playing career.

Yeah I read the same this morn and contemplated signing up to said forum to question him:
    1) we got higher gates in the bottom division than we did in the Premier League. How does that support your claim?
    2) what glory?

I believe we are one of only 4 clubs in the whole Championship to NEVER have won a major trophy! Along with Burton, Milwall and Brentford

We were the inaugural runners-up in what became the Autoglass Shield though.

    Maybe he’s on about that?

I suspect he means the Yorkshire and Humber cup. Or perhaps that tournament that we played in America vs Tampa Bay Rowdies?

Indeed, those three stars above our badge represent how many times we won the YEB Cup.

    What the **** is this?

    A fake MDT?

I know he's ****e, but, he's one of our own. Doesn't that count for owt any more?

Interesting to see who is posting on it like its an actual MDT. Preserving, protecting and developing the identity and community of Hull City AFC Not606 Forum and embodying our long standing tradition of Chazz cobbling together a load of ****e for a MDT seems to have been tossed away like a used tissue.

    ****ing turncoats.

    Kinell, that's funny as ****.

In the past I've been seen out with a black and amber shirt on, and been asked if I'm from Hull. My reply is always "No, I'm from Liverpool but wanted to support a big club". 50-50 on the reaction being a blank look or a laugh.

It really is a key game for us this early on. Win and suddenly we'll be full of confidence that we can beat anyone. Setting the pace at the top would be nice too. Confidence and momentum play such a big part at this level. This is where we need these big players like Grosicki and Hernandez to perform. Burton is one thing, but if they're PL players like they think they are they need to be matchwinners for us in these big games too.
