Apparently Sheff Wed had close to 45,000 there and Hull only had 21,000. Hull aren't a proper football club and that lack of support doesn't deserve the Premiership. They was probably a rugby game on.
MK Dons were relegated to L1 as well. How long has that taken for AFCW to catch them since their inception?
Thanks for all the kind wishes. It really warms the cockels of your heart when fans from other teams wish you well. LOL
You can't hide from the fact that nearly everyone outside of Hull seemed to want Shef Wed to win.. The problem Hull have is that they are regarded more as a Rugby League city, and do not have the history or appeal that true football cities have..
It did seem that way. In my personal opinion (and not all City fans would agree) we're a small club unhappily* overachieving. Undoubtedly the SW fans out sang us and certainly had a much bigger following but luckily for us, and heart breathtakingly for them, you get promoted on the pitch not by the noise from the stands. *It's ironic really that during what is undoubtedly our most successful period we can't enjoy it fully due to endless controversy around name changes, concessions being abolished, fans seats being moved around the ground and split up from friends, local amateur sports clubs being kicked out of council owned facilities, etc etc etc and a seeming general distaste and distrust of the remaining fans in general. Considering the Allams saved us from certain financial melt down and delivered the Premier League twice and an FA Cup final it's difficult to understand how it's all gone so Pete Tong.
Good summary Stockholm. Every Wednesday fan was truly 'up' for this season as we were in 2008, hence the large numbers. A lot if City fans have been pissed off this season and it has shown. Plus let's not forget that sheffield has twice (at least) the population of Hull and so it will always get greater numbers. They're average attendence was around 22k I believe so they must have had a few 'day trippers' at wembley like every club has.
Aw well the damage is done. More ****ing fatheed Bruce bleating about getting hounded oot cos hes a geordie like. ****ing Spud heed.
Sheffield has twice the amount of teams as well Making out Hull had fewer numbers because of population, the population of Hull is some 75,000+ more than Sunderland... so how's that work? There must have been a lot of pissed off Hull fans.
