Camera panning around crowd. Over packed Wednesday sections all stood up. Gets to a City section, half empty. A group of City fans in it all sat down. Amongst them to fans in Wednesday shirts 6 seats apart and stood up shouting. Not a word to them. The overhead shot of the stadium showed the reality of how few tickets we have sold. A total embarrassment. Anyone who doesn't realise where the blame for this lies really needs to take a reality check.
Big day overshadowed by mass of empty seats. If you ignore the rugby town crap it's not a bad article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
Hope you are over your humiliation now, maybe them taking a load more seats has something to do with them having a bigger fan base and the novelty of the occasion
The humiliation was that we could only sell 21,000, the lowest following for a Championship Play off final at Wembley. What compounded it was the shot of the half empty section with two Wednesday fans stood up amongst a group of seated City fans and none of them saying anything. If you don't find that embarrassing then we are on different wavelengths. I wonder what would happened if we had had 2 fans, 6 seats apart, in the Wednesday end? Or against any other team in a play off final? Of course it wouldn't happen because other teams wouldn't have 17,000 unsold tickets. Even Burnley had 36,000 from a population of only 80,000.
Wednesdays fans where superb but who is surprised. They have always been vocal. It was the biggest day for them for years but when they kick off next year it will still be 22k who turn up. Its all relative when it comes down to the occasion. Ie City v Bristol. 40K from Hull and Bristol. It happens .
Is this still a trait of Hull people... need to moan about summat and miss out on enjoying the moment ? Amazing.
Humiliating? FFS. On a glorious day like today, you still find something to complain about. Humiliating? Sod off you silly old twat. There's loads of reasons we didn't sell out our allocation. Not everyone's a loaded OAP like you, before you bang on about that again, there's also less takeup by the day trippers you also despise. Just **** the **** off. It's party time.
**** of yourself. It is not about Hull it is about people in Hull's support of Hull City. There were plenty of day trippers. About 10,000 more than our average crowd. Not as many as Wednesday or what we had last time. But their day trippers were more vibrant and up for it than ours. Full credit to the relatively small number of our vocal supporters as they put in a great effort. Did you enjoy the day and the atmosphere?
Stop being **** ffs. Yes I did enjoy it, from home, same as you no doubt, well the enjoying bit you missed out on, too angry at anything to do with Hull. Yes they had more fans there than us, they have slightly bigger crowds than us on average I think? Actually, who the **** cares? They had a lot of people today who do not go weekly. Big ****ing deal. They also had more face paint, hats, balloons, everything in fact that if we had, you'd be ****ing whining about. If you're just WUMing, well done, if not, I feel sorry for you. You know what, you drown in your own misery. I'm going to get pissed and smile a lot.
