From George Caulkin (The Times). #Nufc believe Dwight Gayle will miss 2-3 weeks with hamstring injury, but it'll be 2 months + for Vurnon Anita with ankle ligament damage. Bad **** about Vurn.
Gayle's almost sounds like a rest/precaution to prevent the old injury reoccurring - if he'd damaged it properly I couldn't see him back in that time frame. Bad news for Anita though - and the club - he's been playing well. At least with Yedlin we've a replacement available According to the press we've 16 fit/available 1st team squad players for Weds night and three of them are keepers!
That sounds quite quick for a hamstring injury to heal. I will be expecting a longer lay off but be pleasantly surprised if it's only 2-3 weeks before we see him start another game.
We do have Yedlin as a replacement for Anita... but if he gets injured we are in the clart a wee bit. Unless Rafa tweaks our formation...
