I gave LJ a personal target of the Cardiff game to turn the corner. Unfortunately we didn't. (I don't count the Fleetwood game). Obviously as he is still in charge, I will be still hoping for him to turn things around - I do respect what you say Onefor. I fear a Nott Forest who have just gotten rid of their unpopular manager.
Lee Johnson will of course have input into the signing of players. Players are fitting profiles, or were - Young, sometimes comparatively costly to develop, and obviously from wider fields. Seeking talent out in France etc for instance is now a core value of BCFC. That is a plan of the club that Lee Johnson himself does adhere to. That is a new direction which the club set out upon before Lee Johnson took his role.
Maybe I should have said "Also the new manager will also want to put his own stamp on it and the players we have at the club may not fit in his SET-UP."
Ripping it up and starting again with totally new ideals implemented by ONE man say scrap the academy, total new coaching staff, recruit lumps, buy old and lets go long ball ... No. Any Manager cannot come into BCFC and implement their own set up. Managers have to fit in with the nature of BCFC.
Well that will very much narrow down the manager selection which would be on offer......It will be another LJ type, up and coming...If that's the case. may as well stick with what we've got!!!
That question was prompted by this line from the report, I believe the guy should be given some middle ground, 'You have those who want him to be sacked and those who believe he should be offered more time – there doesn't seem to be any middle ground.'
Give him any more time and we will be witnessing a sudden and quite catastrophic collapse into League 1, one that could set the club back five years at least. Whatever we do, I cannot see Lee Johnson taking this club onwards or upwards. I argued the case for his dad on here against a whole movement of people who wanted him out. I didn't understand their reasoning, and I couldn't change minds with mine. Much as I wanted the son to succeed in his stead, I have to say LJ is taking us down the same road we went with SOD. He has to go and go now, or else we will be playing in League 1 next season
A new club record for consecutive defeats today Well done Lee, you've done a great job. The once distant Blackburn, Wigan and Burton are now right up our arse and we ARE in a relegation fight. Now get out and let's get someone (anyone!!) in who knows what they are doing. This can't carry on !!!! Lansdown/Ashton - I hope you're listening
