http://sportwitness.co.uk/hull-city-star-european-team-week-along-stars-including-luis-suarez/ Do we need to replace him in centre mid as I think he has looked unbelievably composed and is as good a ball playing centre half as anyone in the league atm.
From what we've seen so far (two games) he's very promising at centre half, but we'd need to replace his midfield position. Which will be the easier to find, a great centre half or a great centre mid? I suppose it all depends on whose available in either position. Times fast running out.
I think they key point is 'where do we need him most'? In a couple of weeks we might have Harry back, in October we might have Dawson back, and in those eventualities we need him more in centre midfield. However if we manage to sign a ****-hot centre midfielder then we suddenly have a very nice problem. I wonder if we'll have a situation where Jake plays centre back and Harry plays centre midfield?
It gets even more complicated when we take Sam Clueless's excellent performances in midfield into account. Who'd be a manager?
I could see Harry being a Matic type and Jake doing what he is doing now as it has looked sensational, fingers crossed Phelan gets the job because it could happen. The way Jake is going if he stayed in that position he will get into the England squad
Could talk about it all day but certain people derail threads with spurious nonsense. Maybe Maguire could be a 'nicer' Fellaini and play that kind of role, we all know he likes to go forward just like the mop headed nutter
Fellaini's been pretty decent this season to be fair, last time out he seemed to be making a conscious effort not to do his usual elbow round the chops thing in every challenge, Mourinhos obviously said you do it my way or the highway son
He's such an effective player, but some of those elbows should have had him banned for life. I hope someone hurts him.
What we need is a very mobile midfield for counters. We are better moving it quickly than just going slowly, unless we are just using up time.
Reminds me of poor Gary Mabbutt having his face smashed by John Fashanu that, you wonder why his previous managers haven't tried to stop him doing it
Jakes been exceptional so far but the teams he's faced have kept it on the deck. I think he might struggle a bit with teams who like to throw high balls in to the box. He's never seemed much of a presence in the air.
We've done it again! http://sportwitness.co.uk/hull-city-star-european-team-week-along-stars-including-luis-suarez/
