Oh my god, this again? How many times do you have to be told that he was bought for the future before it actually sinks in??
Not sure what you are on about Mike 8 of the starting line up on Tuesday have been bought in the last year with a further three coming of the bench
As said before Ashton would've done the deal, Johnson will have specified a type of player desired, a scout would have picked Engval out, ashton then sealed the deal
Sorry is it 2001 again is it? What feeder club spends a fortune on a player for the future anymore? What is the point in that exactly. So some mid level championship side can show interest in him and have his head turned? If you are spending big for the future you are throwing money away. You honestly think Engvall was told "Come to a relegation battling team in the English second tier and occasionally sit on our bench so you can undo all your hard work in regards to the path you have created to get into your international team"? And he moved? Absolutely bonkers!!
So given LJ doesn't train according to Pemberton, doesn't do tactics and you don't think he scouts or signs deals. What exactly is he doing as the most expensive manager in Bristol City history?
£2.5M is hardly big . especially when it is reinvestinf the profit from out going players hang two hairy round of words to describe the answer to the above
2.5 is almost our record transfer fee paid.... for someone who barely sits on the bench.... Also see you failed to answer the question. Do you honestly think he came to a club of our stature to do that? Do you honestly believe any footballer who was playing international football would do that? People keep making excuse after excuse after excuse for the biggest failings we have seen in a manager and I don't know why!
you are only surmising that he wouldn't come to a club to sit on the bench...you don't know, you also don't know why he came here unless it was to get better coaching than he was already getting? so no question to answer must assume you mean the last manager SC as we currently have a head coach ..they are part of a team! ... so whats SC got to do with it
AGAIN!!!! You still didn't answer the question! DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE AN INTERNATIONAL, FIRST TEAM REGULAR FOOTBALLER LEAVES ALL THAT PROGRESS BEHIND TO OCCASIONALLY SIT ON AN A STRUGGLING ENGLISH SECOND TIER SIDES BENCH???? You say I'm only surmising he wouldn't come to the club to do that, and I'm asking you do honestly believe anyone would come to the club to do that. Also on what grounds whatsoever do you have to claim LJ's disastourous shambolic record at our club is "better coaching" than what Engvall had left? How can you have the audacity to even suggest that? As for this head coach clap trap, you can sell that nonsense elsewhere. The game of football is played with 22 players on a pitch with two sets of goal posts. That isn't ever going to change and neither will the manager system that every club at every level around the world uses. LJ is the manager and if he isn't we need to stop being such of a joke run outfit and employ one. Head coach, director of football, whatever. I'm the manager, I'm the face of how this team play the formation we go out in, the tactics we apply, the players that are brought in to play the way I set out. It's that simple. If you think that can be improved by diluting responsibility to first team coaches or the kit man or whoever then you are a pleb.
Probably the most valid thing you have contributed to the discussion. Congratulations. At least this comment out of the hundreds you make, doesn't need to be deciphered by someone at the Pentagon in order to be legible.
Maybe there is an issue with his training/attitude that stopped him breaking through and is now 4th/5th in the queue
But if Tomlin has a bad attitude, Freeman has a bad attitude, Flint has looked sulky an uninterested Golbourne looks like he can't arsed which is attitude related, Ekstrand wasn't given a crack and people have blamed his playing style, training and attitude, now if Engvall is being accused of it? If that's the case who do you start to look at? Presumably the man in charge? He has no aptitude for this job, finding players or setting them up to win a game.
These things usually spring from confidence (or a lack of), especially with strikers. Undeniably, City are strong in attack, with Abraham, Tomlin, Taylor, Djuric, Paterson, O'Dowda all sitting ahead of Engvall right now. However, the kid is still young and he has a chance next season to do a proper pre-season and force his way into the side. He will be accustomed to England by then, a year older, and that is when he should be judged. Having said that, his window of opportunity will not be large
I think losing all the time is probably something to do with the lack of enthusiasm. The answer may well be to bring in a new manager, but maybe SL already knows this and is waiting for the right fellow to become available. One can only hope...
that's truly amazing, you can respond to pictures or shapes .. so primary school teachers are correct in saying pictures help understanding ... cat... dog ... sweet ....
