The Chairboys welcome the Mariners to Adams Park for their first home EFL game of the season looking to build on their encouraging second half performance against the Robins in the EFL Cup, this will be the Mariners first visit to AP for eight seasons, on their last visit the Chairboys were top of the league and on their way to promotion while the Mariners were 22nd fighting relegation, so true to form it was a 1-0 win for the away team in front of 4.5K, the Mariners finished the season just escaping relegation due to the Hatters 30 point deduction and Chester City's demise, but their salvation was short lived dropping out of the league the following season. Gareth Ainsworth has a task on his hands just picking a team for this game with the squad decimated through injury but he will be hoping PCH and Paul Hayes may make the bench so he doesn't have to make up the numbers Scott Brown, Harriman, O'Nien, Freeman, Weston and Muller remain doubtful while Rowe and Bean could be back. This will be my first game of the season and I'm really looking forward to it and despite the injuries (to the squad not myself) I'm expecting a good game and a first win of the season for the lads
