Grimsby is more inform than us! http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/conference/2014-2015/form-table The last 6 games.... 1st in the form table: Grimsby 16 pts 3rd in the form table: Rovers 13 pts 9th in the form table: Barnet 10 pts. If in the next 6 games, these 3 teams scores the same amount of points, then the table would look like this.... 1 Grimsby 91 pts 2 Rovers 90 pts 3 Barnet 88 pts
Depends how far back you go. We played on that pudding of a pitch in Halifax and were lucky to get anything. So I think we're pretty even stevens with Grimsby.
last 17 games... Grimsby 35 points Rovers 36 points. Both sides have averaged over 2 points a game in this period. Therefore both are very much in form over a long period going back to November. In these last 17 games they have won and lost more games than us. We have just drawn way too many. Its remarkable that although Barnet have won more pens than Rovers and Grimsby have put together (Barnet awarded 17 pens vs Rovers 8 pens and Grimsbys 6 pens!) along with Barnet getting the oppostion sent off many times and early in the 1st half too as well as Akinde who seems to get away with persistant fouling without being disciplined! With everything going Barnets way, its remarkable that both Grimsby and us are more inform than Barnet! And thats over a consistant period of time too!
And when the photos taken it will have blue and white quarters on the team in first place and I think black and white stripes Grimsby? in second
I'll just throw this into the mix....................... It's looking increasingly that goal difference could be the determining factor come the end of the season. As is usually the case it's as good as worth an extra point; and with just one automatic promotion place it's possible that one team will miss out on that place on GD. At present the GDs of those involved in the race are: Barnet 41 Rovers 23 Grimsby 29 Macclesfield 14 Forest Green 20 Woking 21 Eastleigh 19 We've no chance of catching up with Barnet's GD, but it's vital that we stay ahead of FGR and overtake Grimsby. FGR are probably too many points behind, and Macclesfield are way behind us on GD. So if Barnet fall away we need to be ahead of Grimsby on GD. Can we do it? Easter firing on all cylinders could be the difference. No pressure lad! It brings into focus again of whether Harrison should start.....he scores goals! Dawson is a provider. Erratic yes, but he can put in a telling cross. Lines needs to run into the area to create chances or be brought down. We need to claw back that six goal GD between us and Grimsby.
It'll be close and down to the wire.We may only get a draw v Macclesfield, but there will be a few twists and turns yet...
i really cant see any of maccs, fgr, woking and eastleigh winning the league. i cant see us dropping out of the play offs either! so if we do end in he play offs, goal difference wont be an issue. its just the goal difference of barnet and grimsby that im interested in and we are behind them both! but if we win all our games 1-0 then i think that will win us the league as we would finish above grimsby even if they win 5-0 every game and im sure that barnet will draw or lose 1 game which would be enough for us. lets concentrate on winning the games.
It will come down to how the players manage the pressure and expectation of the fans and how the fans help the players by getting behind them when things are not going according to plan. This wont be just Rovers it will be Barnet and Grimsby who will be affected and they will be relying on their fans to help them over the winning line just as we will be helping the Rovers. As supporters we need to keep calm cheer them on with all the energy we have and trust the players to respond.
