    Been talking with Northampton for a while, but, had gone quiet the past few weeks.
    Suspect he will probably go out on loan, but, still a good sign that the club is thinking to the future.

    He looks remarkably like a young Sammy in that photo and Ivan Toney sounds like a made up name. Could this be a con to keep Sammy at the club under an assumed name and thus avoid the curse that will inevitably fall upon the club if we don't have an Ameobi on staff?

    I read that we have now arranged a behind closed doors match vs Gateshead to test him out. Words fail me. Have we been watching him this season in competitive football or not? We seem to take soooooo muuuuuuch tiiiiiiiime over tiny, tiny things it really does just make you want to scream. It's £500k. Mike Ashley earned that in profit the time it's taken me to type this.

    This lad is well regarded down in my neck of the woods but reckon 18 months for PL. Loan him out League 1 for season.

    With any luck he'll be like another Perez. I would like him to go straight out on loan though to a champ club for 1st team experience if that's possible

    If the club had been smart, they would have held back on the Cardiff loan, bought Toney first, then 'loaned' him straight out, but actually sent them Sammy in disguise. Then, loan 'Sammy' (aka Toney) to Cardiff, and then when he outperforms vs. expectations, sell 'Sammy' (this time send them the real one) to Cardiff for an increasd value.

    We'd get more cash for offloading Sammy than we spent on Toney. Sorted!
