He hasn't so far, Long averages a goal every 4.5 Premier League games, Abel averages a goal every 6.
Wait and see, TWT...
His agent's a cock, he was banging on about Arsenal being in for Abel just before we signed him and he's been touting him around every window since we got relegated.
Based on the things I've seen on various sites this morning, it doesn't seem like too many would be upset if he went.
We'll end up swapping Abel for Niasse
Harsh on Hernandez I think, he has one of the toughest gigs in football, generally playing lone striker for a side that plays a style utterly against his natural style of play. He looks so much better when we have someone up top to play him off, or else when we play a style that actually sees him receive the ball on the ground. Look at what he did only a few weeks ago to Bournemouth! Whenever he scores he looks so excited and pumped up, similarly when others score. Even seems to sulk less these days when coming off. Would be sad to see him go.
I'm not certain that Abel is 100% a team player tbh or indeed part of the 'squad family' .. just lately when others have scored he seems more then a little reluctant to join in the celebrations .. or is it just me that's noticed it
I don't think he eats with the team etc. But them goal scoring youths a mysterious bunch!
What's it to be?
Haha I could have sworn he always gets excited, but he does celebrate on his own a lot.
He's maybe towing the line now because he's not the big fish? And no player should miss 2 pens.
For once we have a quality striker in Hernandez and people would be happy to see him go
Hull City missed out on Celtic's Dedryck Boyata and FC Copenhagen's Mathias Jorgensen in January...
It certainly sounds like we were willing to spend a lot more than we did.
We obviously weren't after three centre backs, we must have decided to go for Ranochhia ahead of these two.
It's pretty much compulsory they eat together. So where's your info from?
Pass the sauce
Becoming very clear hernandezs time with us is almost up
Would be great if we can get a nice inflated fee from china for him, noticed offers of £38m for slimani and £30m for rondon
Or option b which wouldnt be bad depending on if niasse keeps his form up is a swap deal, and i do like niasse works his ass off very honest.
A niasse and salibur combination would be interesting to see
Well they finally confirmed it, only 48 hours late.
Club secretary Matt Wild has left too, replaced by David Beeby. Probably not a coincidence.
I did wonder about that possibility.
