Nah. Turbo does that all the time. It's just what happens next that lets him down. 1. Trying to win a corner by kicking it against the recovering defender (if we had success at set-pieces then this would be acceptable) 2. Putting in a crap left-footed cross 3. Cutting onto his right to put the ball into the crowd 4. Passing it back to Robertson to provide a crap cross from deep He and Markovic could have made all the difference if the typical quality of their final ball was better. Majority of our goals came from breakaways in the last few months.
Out of the two Robertson is much better on the front foot and getting forwards. Moses probably had the edge defensively - but not by much. Robertson has played quite a few PL games now and Moses hasn't played one.
Totally agree with this. One of my favourites, always gives his all, plays for the shirt, would definitely flourish in a Liverpool side, will only get better and better. Bale-esque type of player and better than people are making out defensively. I hope he stays, I don't want to lose him.
I really like Robbo but he hasn't developed anywhere near as much as I expected. Defensively he's still very poor and he's no longer that young.
Maybe it wasn't Robbo after all... http://the4thofficial.net/2017/05/l...emier-league-defensive-rock-just-klopp-needs/
You can learn at 31, age is irrelevant. He's better than he was when we got him, I still don't understand why he hasn't been converted into a winger.
I'd argue that he's marginally better but he's certainly not considerably better. Compare the difference in development between him and Odubajo. Moses improved drastically in his year playing with us
For the umpteenth time - Moses has not yet played or proven himself in the Premier League. Robertson has.
Yep, he's proven himself to be an average full-back and that he should be playing a different position. Moses might prove himself to be exceptional.
But he hasn't yet. Average you say? Surprised at the number of knowledgeable football managers that are keen on him. I expect they are a tad more experienced in knowing who is and who isn't better than average than you.
They might be chasing him to play left midfield / wing, where I think he absolutely could excel. When the best part of a wide player's game is his ability to cross, shoot and run at the opposition and the weakest parts of his game are positional and tackling, then where would you advocate playing him? Do the words Gareth and Bale mean anything to you?
