I'm not sure if I can post this here but I'm sure lots of us know John & how passionate about Hull City he is......so maybe some may want to help........it's not just about money.....he's lost everything so all help would be welcome.....even old City shirts !! (knowing John a few beers might be welcome too but you can hardly post them !!)
This is taken from a link posted by John's son. Edit. Apologies if it's the same as the op, I'm on my phone and neither link displays.
The links posted above aren't showing up on my tablet. Let's see if this one does: EDIT: Nope - they're all saying: "This plugin is not supported."
My apologies, neither show on my phone. John is always ready to chip in for others, so while I doubt he'll ask, I think it's a decent gesture if we help him out during his time of need.
Done, Firthy hasn't quite lost everything, he has family and friends which are far more valuable than possessions. I'm proud to class him as a friend, even if he always seems to dodge buying me a beer! ;-) I remember that when Hurricane Katrina struck he housed homeless families in his house with no questions asked, his turn for a little help now. Right, Exeter for me now. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Is John the fella that lives in the states that often phones into Radio Humberside? How has he lost everything? None of the links anyone has posted are working?
His home's flooded and the place he works is flooded causing him to be laid off, so he's currently homeless and jobless.
Ah yeah just seen horrific. I didn't realise he lived in Baton Rouge. Don't know him personally, but he always comes across as a top bloke on the radio. I'll put something through his go fund me page. I hope he gets sorted out soon. It's going to take a while.
John is a top bloke and I met him a few years when we were both on Hull city online forum. He came over with his son and went to a few games and a few of us met in Hessle for a meal and drinks. He is the sort of person who would help anyone and give everything he could to help so definitely worth helping him get back on his feet
i liked the post and agreed with Chazz because non of the links came up, i didnt realise it was floods that had caused him to lose everything. Ill donate
Poor fella. He was so nice to the wife and I when we went to visit him a few years back. Also good to hear that one of the old City Mad lads got Burnsy to give his plight a shout out on Humberside.
I remember him more from the other city forum , nice bloke , I remember showing him the way of hull the good old days , I'm currently on an iPad and there's no links or anything showing up to help by - are they working on computers ??
If you're lying, it makes you a knobhead for lying. If you're not lying, why did you feel the need to tell us? You're still a knobhead. What's wrong with you?
