Sky 'Sources' telling us we're in talks with Norwich for John Ruddy on a permanent. Back up to Pickford and I'm fine with this.
Says to me we must have plans for our 2nd domestic loan which is why were doing a permanent deal. Might just sign for 12 months. Knowing us we will give him an 8 year deal now.
I'm not getting why a permanent signing unless Mannone or Pickford is off in January or next summer? Once Pickford has been in goal for a while then he'll become a senior keeper meaning we'll have 3 senior keepers.
The bid for Ruddy has been rejected. Teams know we are desperate, and this could be a major problem with bringing players in today.
To be fair, he's the number 1 at Norwich and £4m is an insult, with about 17 seconds left to replace him.
