With Warren Joyce sacked at Wigan, 26% of clubs in England's top four divisions (24 of 92) have changed managers ... in the last 100 days.

Staying up was always going to be their No.1 priority, whatever platitudes they made about building for the future, Joyce will have been well aware of this.

There was always a risk that he'd leave a job he enjoyed, only to find himself unemployed within a matter of months, it's the reason he didn't want to join us.

Sentiment aside he was not up to it.

    Right decision.

Every season Wigan FC competed on an equal footing with Wigan RL they got larger crowds by quite a margin.

More years in the top flight than and an FA Cup more than us.

    Ludicrous decision though.

That'll be the 5400 capacity away stand and the plethora of NW clubs taking the full allocation...

How many did we have in the 5,400 away stand when we went? I noticed Newcastle filled it.

Not bad crowds in any case from a town with a population half the size of the city ofHull.

Must be a sporting town as their rugby club gets more than either Rovers or FC in the rugby mad city of Hull, impossible as that is to believe.
Though given their success, many times that of the 2 Hull clubs combined,,that is understandable. A good following as their cup final against FC had a higher attendance than FC v Rovers.

We've filled the away end at Wigan, we've also filled the 7,000 capacity away end at Blackburn.

We filled the away end at Arsenal on a Saturday night TV game, and most of the away end for a Wednesday evening cup game in the same stadium in the same season.

Not this season though. And had probably the lowest away following at Old Trafford of any team. Wonder why that could be...

Perhaps they should have considered bringing in a more experienced manager then.

Warnock's obviously not a Warren Joyce fan - "No disrespect, but when Wigan appointed him, I was delighted,"

    The **** him.
