Come on!! You KNOW you'd love a job there. Mind you, it appears that you have more than the required single brain cell to work there, so you are probably over qualified!

Dental nurse? The signs are ingrowing toenails and the plea for Kiwi to knock one out is an attempt to reduce his tension.

Excellent schadenfreude this morning as we got our flight back from Majorca. Arrived at airport, hearts sank as we saw an absolutely massive queue for check in. Then rose again as we realised it was for Ryan 'we don't hate our passengers quite as much as we used to'air, and the line for Monarch was took 30 seconds to get to the front of.

Ryanair are THE worst airline I have ever flown with. They damaged my case on a return flight from Dublin and tried to get out of paying for it (it was 3 days old). Eventually I had to threaten legal action under the Warsaw convention. The did send me a cheque, but it was payable to another member of our party. Way to **** up Ryanair!!! I'll never use them again and suggest no one else does.

Could always just not use them?? You know what you're going to get but it's cheap.

Can't say I've ever had a problem using them for very short-haul flights.

I won't be using them again, I'd rather walk. Piss poor customer service and they make rules that THEY don't adhere to!

Speaking of which, there's a Weatherspoons opening up down the road from me in a week's time. Was in one in Manchester once but can't remember what it was like.

Cheap food & booze can't be a bad thing I guess. Although some folk are worried it might bring a bad crowd into the area

Yeah a mate of mine works in their Marketing team and they're looking to expand in Ireland a fair bit although it's difficult due to the prices there or laws of some sort.

I doubt it'll bring any worse crowd than any run-of-the-mill pub. The food there is generally a lot better than it once was and if you like ale it's particularly cheap or at least that's the case over here. Some over here are exceptionally grim and the prices reflect that while some are now really upmarket particularly in Central London.

It's called Wetherspoon's because the owner had a teacher of that surname who told him he'd never amount to anything.

Don't worry about that Swords, I tend to avoid Weatherspoons!

Weatherspoons are the sort of pubs you will see advertising stuff like Pie Chips and a pint for £6.99. You just know the pub will be a spit and sawdust "what the f*ck you looking at" kind of place.

Pretty sure they don't have Sky Sports but normally show terrestrial tv or Sky News from memory. Whole different ball game in Ireland though in terms of costs and licensing I'd imagine.
