Anyone who can't see quality in this lot can't have watched a lot of football... note the headers and LEFT foot goals..

Ok Banksy - would you rather Kodjia stayed or we had £15m ?

    Not a piss-take- genuine question.

    That's why we employ Ashton.
He has the agents in his pocket.

I would suggest that they didn't go down the Gate when he was there!

For once we may have been clever the way we've done PR with the Kodjia situation and bumped the price up along the way ?

£15m is frankly obscene for anyone, let alone a Championship striker who is closer to 30 than he is to 20.

Villa must be desperate to spend their parachute money is all I can say, and if they don't start winning soon, then Di Matteo could be one of the first managerial casualties of the season.

But good luck JK and thanks for your efforts.

I am happy with the situation, he wanted to leave and we get the right money. what I find childish is the "he was **** anyway rubbish" He kept us in the championship last year. Some of our fans are both clueless and churlish.

At this moment in time we will miss him.. I hope we can replace him, we have 15 hours to do so.

Saying Kodjia kept City in the Championship last season is disrespectful to the team like Smith. The reason he came from a french second division side to a championship side and is joining another championship are clear when he plays. Some of us have been watching city for nearly fifty years hes good but not that good. I will be surprised if city really have not come out of this heavily on the right side of the money.

But it will not be useful if we have no replacement. It will knock a hole in our season's plans.

Lets be honest, 15 million is a lovely deal for us and a nice return for Lansdown but it was Kodjia's decision not ours.
I just hope that our organisation can work a miracle today, but don't be surprised if
    a) They can't
    b) They refuse to be held over a barrel by profiteering agents and clubs
    c) The players we want are not enamoured with Bristol City, Gayle/Gray style

Lets just say there has never been a better time to be a young striker knocking on the door of Lee's office and saying 'play me'

As I said earlier he's not rubbish. He is one footed. 1 maybe 2? of his goals came with his left.Wondered how many more he missed including one against Newcastle that was a bit embarrassing. That isn't someone who is worth that sort of money which is why I think we have done well. If we get the Swedish guy, what with Patterson, Abraham and Wilbs, with Tomlin who can be used, I think there is enough firepower there even if we don't get another replacement today.

Great business to get £15m for JK. Not sure this Swedish guy is the right signing, he is young as is Abraham, a lot of pressure to score the goals at this level for an 18 & 20 year old. I would prefer someone a bit more proven to help Abraham develop

Me too - not that he isn't a good player, but for what would be a record fee for us, he isn't exactly a prolific goalscorer. Get him for £3m and I'd say good business; £4m OK - much more, a sense of overpaying, particularly considering wages must be tidy coming down from the Premiership.

It's a simple fact, he was scoring goals that kept us in with a shout early season and that kept us in touch! We may well have done a very good deal (I'm sure we have!) but 20 goal a season strikers cost money! We had prem offers for him so that point is irrelevant! The same old faces will be crying like babies if we don't get a replacement over the line today, on the final day anything could happen!

Put your money on him to score first for Villa. I did for City many times and he banked me some good money

Think he could be a sub up there,Villa fans are very underwhelmed by his signing, however the same lot probably the ones that thought they were going to beat us 4-0

I think that we've got a good deal, tammy and Kodjia didn't always fit in the team together. I believe tammy is better and so we've got a year and a lot of money to track down an adequate replacement for Kodjia. Next year Kodjia wouldve been worth less than half the price due to having a year left on his contract.

If we can be a club that picks up players before they progress to bigger things then we may get some quality players for a few seasons along the way looking to get to the top
