I did a long fast for a drug trial once and they had to send me home in a taxi because I was so whoozy.
Thank you for your concern. I'm only doing it the once to show my support to my Muslim friends and colleagues. Don't think I have the endurance to do it again!
This may sound harsh but Heather Watson really should have beaten Williams. She blew a massive opportunity.
I think the girl knows that...hopefully her chance will come again, but sadly sometimes it doesn't. What I find amazing is that 1) she could hardly put a first serve in and 2) Williams struggled to deal with her second serve. Williams began to wobble when things went against her and Heather capitalized, but sadly you have to kill it off when you deal with a top player like Serena. Overall, I think Watson showed a lot of character right up to the end.
Not harsh, she should have won, but Serena did finally up her game when the chips were down, like the champion she is. Watson couldn't quite get over the line in the face of Williams' sheer determination to win. As Fran says, when you have a chance like being two breaks up in the final set against the world no.1 you have to close it out.
Ferndown. It is very close. Not the T&L but the atmosphere. Very muggy in SO16. The BBC Weather app doesn't know what to forecast here in the Southampton basin from one moment to the next. We are quite the microclimate of all microclimates here. I might as well open an upstair window and look SW. And perhaps tap the barometer.
Incidentally, the BBC Weather app has just issued a yellow weather warning of rain and T&L. And it says we should be undergoing cloud with light rain right now. In reality the sky is cloudless and the moon is out, bright as a beacon, and there's hardly a breath of wind to blow any cloud this way.
Just got back. Good thing you didn't make it! Crap gig (not her, she was great, but nobody at this bloody festival!!)
Saw a lot of lightening every 30 sec from about 11.00-12.00...no thunder, so can't have been over the Island.
Koeman posted a tweet saying he was looking forward to Feyenoord match. In amongst the comments in Dutch and English from Feyenoord fans were a few from vulgar moronic United fans talking about things like Morgan's reported transfer. Can't see the connection between that and a nice comment for his old team.
