Is it just me or is anyone else really not bothered by the football season coming up?
I don't think I've ever been so uninterested in a new season, with such low expectations ever.
All I can see is absolute failure, I thought at one point we'd get something from the Villa game, but now anything less than a 3-0 defeat will seem positive.
Maybe we can get players in over the next week, but LS must be wondering wtf has he walked into.
Hopefully by the time the Villa game is on TV I'll be ready for it & my expectations will have grown.

Expectations low, prospects gloomy, squad too thin, untried manager, relegation a more likely outcome than promotion.

You know what, I can't wait!

I agree. I was really excited about Hull Tigers, when it never happened it was a bit of a killer blow. It was such a fabulous name that I couldn't resist starting to sell off everything I own to buy merchandise from the club shop.

It's the same as last summer, we beat Leicester and Swansea and suddenly everyone was buzzing again. We'll win 2/3 out of our first 5 and all will be forgotten.

There's not much to love about at the club at the moment, we have a poor squad that either want to be away from here or are only here because no one else wants them and a manger that has got us playing awful football. The owners hate the fans, the fans hate the owners and the fans hate each other. The backroom and admin staff that are left hate their jobs and are likely to be fired at any moment anyway. It's near impossible to buy a ticket and if you buy a membership its unlikely you'll be keep the same seat for more than a season without some kind of eviction.

The soul of the club has been ripped out in recent years and whilst this feels like rock bottom, unfortunately it's probably only going to get worse before it gets better.

I'm feeling the same as you maybe even more less interested.
Never thought I would after 40 + years of going.
Not interested In going to games and doubt I'll watch it on TV.
Way to much football going on now there's not even a break to renew people's interest nowadays.

That's the worst bit the dislike all around of fans, owners etc.
At least in the dark years the fans where not at each others throats like now.

    That alone is to short.
We should be having a 4 month break to allow the summer sports some exposure.

If you see any men in white coats coming down the path close the curtains, lock the door and pretend you're not in.

I was using the league with the least amount of games as evidence of how impossible it is. You're not helping your own case.

Get rid of the league cup.
Reduce the leagues down to 34 games.

How do you simply 'reduce the leagues down to 34 games'? You putting only 18 teams in a league?
