The one a few weeks before at 12,030 was a record as well. Just shows how much of a massive fish Bristol are in the championship and the great thing is they'll still be big in the prem too. Hearing a lot of talk that most of the players who got Bristol promoted will be sold/let go and Lansdown will be backing heavily and recruiting the best players.... Will be interesting to see if he does and if that has any impact on City.... Cant imagine it will as it will benefit SL more if we got promoted. Read yesterday Arsenal are the first team in history to get over 100m from televised games! Granted they had 27 of them shown and if we ever got promoted we'd only have about 6 or 7 but the money in the prem now is ridiculous. Would be worth going up through the play offs and coming back down the following year just for the hundreds of millions we'd get from it!
Bristol should get 27,000 for at least Bath, Exeter and Gloucester, probably try and get a ticket for most games next season
Just reading the gas thread on Clarke linked to Leeds thread. And one of then said he wants Ryan Giggs as manager,
From the sags site "You will have to explain that to your fairies Banksy. Too good for the Gas? Yet he played for your lot. No wonder you over rate him. Just be sure the Gas don't' pass you on the way by next season. We want you in the same division so we can put you back in your place as over-financed under- achieving debt building reds.." Deluded or what? I used to have time for Sapphire, but he's showing how bitter he is now.
I've been back to say hello again.. He's so ****in deluded.. The bitterness pours out of him. he really thinks they're on a level with us despite the 16 years of evidence and the different levels.. They should concern themselves with staying in division 3 first...
And yet none of them came and saw them play at our place two years ago, apart from one. Citing it was a pointless game but I bet if they won they would be still crowing about it in ten years time.
Oh yes.. and I bet there was more than one at that game.. although saying that the sags have always been scared to come to Ashton Gate.
Here's Emmanuel Thomas... Again finding that pocket of space... LEFT FOOTED SHOOTING.. OH WHAT A GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A GOAL THAT IS ITS BRYAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH WHAT A GOAL. BRISTOL BORN BRISTOL BRED! Has the goal that could decide the Bristol derby No your place sag. League 1 was a heart ache for us, for you it's a massive accomplishment. #ForeverInOurShadow
Sapphires been saying the same thing for ages. I can just imagine him sitting (or standing) in one of their tented stands in their stolen rugby ground repeating over and over "we're coming for you ****heads" for 16 years.
On another note.. here's the "big club"s season ticket sales.. http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/season-ticket-finance-deadline-closing-in-3127754.aspx The number sold for next season now stands at 4,327 and the club are delighted at the response from supporters. THE CLUB ARE DELIGHTED
