13th placed Charlton take on 20th placed Oldham tonight in a game that seems likely to see our lowest away turnout of the season. Hats off to any lunatic who makes that journey. With only 9 league wins in 29 games, the main focus tonight is on who Karl Robinson will blame after the game. Paddy Power is going 1/2 the ref, followed by 6/4 the famous Oldham weather. The groundsman is available at 5/1.
Meh! My thoughts on the game. It's mid table mediocrity with out TOP SIX budget. By all accounts this seasons failure is far worst than last seasons relegation.
What holden says, it's a scenario now where we are playing for next season but it will be at our detriment as loans will leave and roland will cash in on konsa, Aribo etc
Mike Tyson jr is one of the lunatics making the trip I'm sure we will get on the spot reports from the game
According to ITTV we are going to make the Play Offs. Even making the play offs is not good enough for a Club of our size. Thirteenth in the Third division is a disgrace. I am also getting rather tired of the excuses trotted out by Robinson. Just keep your trap shut Karl and win games. We can't even beat a Pub team like AFC Wimbledon over two games. This League is not a great standard. With the players Roland has sold or given away like Kermy, Stephens, Lookman, Gudmundsson, Cousins, Morrison we would piss this League.
According to SeriouslyRed the owner has improved the squad over every transfer window and we have a strong base for a challenge "next season"
Scary. The squad will be pulled apart again with departures of loans, and we kind of have history with cashing in during transfer windows. But as long as we break even, cool.
Dificult to muster enthusiasm for this. However, I agreed over a few beers to go to the cinema with the mrs to see Fifty Shades Darker, so I will be glued to the mobile to avoid watching the banalities of the film. Karl seems to be getting more abuse than seems logical. I'd agree his interviews are about as enjoyable as when the Comms team used to let Katie talk into a microphone, but he can at least point to some football experience. If he could shut up and get on with building a team, it would be great. I do vaguely worry he has seen behind the curtains now, and knows he will never, ever, ever get sufficient backing from the owner, but all the chatter won't change that. He needs to win matches. He has instilled some enthusiasm, and while the results are much like Slade's were, I'd say there is more hope of an improvement here. I'll go for a daring 2-1 win tonight, and that 50 Shades will be even worse than the first one was.
I'm the one person guaranteed to have a worse night than the travelling fans tonight. At least my journey home isn't so far, but I expect big compensation from Mrs Shabby.
The very same prick who stood up at Woolwich and spoke. As was posted on Charlton Life, he has zero credibility.
Watt dropped and no Holmes or Tex. The kid Matividi up front until 8.30, then he has to come off for his bedtime . Top 6 budget my arse
Extremely surprised that Tony Watt has been dropped tonight. Dillon Phillips told me he was the best player in League One #Nope
