If 2 Leagues (1 and 2 or 2 and Conf) were combined and then split into League1/2 North and South would: the away attendance increase much/at all? it make much difference to travelling costs for teams?
I think L1 should be left as it is but L2/Conf combined into North/South My ideal scenario would be; Prem dump over in Europe Now the proper football leagues; Championship League One League Two South Conference League Two North Conference
How would they decide which Conference teams could join the League? relax the ground requirements and let all join have smaller divisions and qualify by facilities/financial status
Not a great fan of regionally splitting the 4th tier as it creates a problem for clubs in the central region Brackley Town just 6 miles from my house is in the northern section of the 6th tier as were Oxford City who won promotion the same season Oxford has since been relegated and gained promotion back to the 6th last season but this time to the southern section how would we cope with being in the northern section
Personally I like the format as it is at the moment, but regionalising would certainly improve the attendences, even if it might decrease the quality. It would also be more difficult to get out of the league presumably, if its the same number and only 4 being relegated from league 1 still
It would involve (presumably) 4 promotions from the combined North & South Divisions. Not sure how that would work . Maybe just one auto promotion from each Division then the 2nd and 3rd from each Division play a mini League for the other 2 spots
