Very interesting week. If Wimbledon win Tuesday night they have secured their play off place. Even a draw would mean they only need 1 point in their 2 remaining matches (and that's if Cambridge win both their remaining games). So we (effectively) have 6 teams assured of at least a play off place as we go into Saturday. 4 of those will be trying to secure automatic promotion. We play one of those 4 on Saturday and another the following week which puts us in the position of being able to potentially screw up the automatic promotion of 3 teams. Even Plymouth are still in with a shot at the auto Could be some strange results with all this pressure.
Just the one potential shortfall this month If you don't stake any more this month CB your £240 will be placed on Bristol Rovers at 8/15. Very unusual for an away team to be the shortest priced
Below 8th place every team has nothing to gain by winning and nothing to lose by not winning Northampton have nothing to gain/lose and all the others are fighting for play offs and/or auto promotion Don't think I'll be betting this week
Wimbledon not there yet.Lost 1-0 at home to Portsmouth That leaves Accrington, Oxford, Bristol, Plymouth and Portsmouth still to fight out for the 2 remaining automatic promotions
So Relegation decided Only Cambridge can squeeze into the play offs, at the expense of Wimbledon, but they need to win both games and hope that Wimbledon don't get 2 points from their last 2 games Meanwhile Accrington, Oxford, Bristol Rovers, Plymouth and Portsmouth are all scrabbling for the remaining 2 automatic promotion places Some of these options will be closed tomorrow. To think over the next 2 Saturdays 3 teams could have their future in our hands
I can't make up my mind about the York game...oh let's go for it.... Draw £2,000 York Was going to also go for Northampton but the odds are...well rubbish....so instead their opposition.... Luton £500 Cambridge v Plymouth interesting....hmmm...punt in the dark.... Plymouth £1,000
Well that extremely brave bet has taken CW to the top of the table. Well done CW. All to play for on the last game
