Spolli, 32, made his name in his native Argentina with Newell's Old Boys, before leaving in 2009 for Catania, whom he played for until February this year. With the transfer window about to close, Roma added defensive cover by signing Spolli on loan until the end of the season, with Catania down in the second division. Yet so far, the experienced centre back has yet to even make his debut for Roma, and looks set to return to Catania this summer. When he does, there could be a real rush for his signature as Tutto Mercato Web report that Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers are both in the race to sign Spolli. Serie A[/a] clubs Atalanta and Sampdoria, but it appears that Leeds and QPR could give him offers to move to England this summer.
Not sure about the Old Boys, but the kids who frequent Yates' on a Saturday night seem very keen on Knickerless Spoils.
The Derby County manager has expressed surprise and warned that signing this guy would be a mistake in the headline: "Golly! Wally with the Brollie warns of folly of signing Spolli for a lot of lolly"
Sorry it was a general comment on the attitude of certain posters, I know nothing about this particular player he may be comple cack as far as I know.
