Disagree on the squad it's crap from back to front and unbalanced. The coach needs a fair crack of the whip he has been sold a pup. But with the players we have we are looking down the barrel of league 1.

17th at best.

 

I'm trying to remain neutral as I wasn't overly impressed with the signing of Monk so I admit to being a bit biased. Hearing what Swansea fans had to say on a Swansea forum and looking up his statistics as a coach he is pretty much a nobody.

A few on here seemed more joyous about him so I hoped I was wrong. The early signings were coming in and they looked impressive to what we usually get. I put the opening day solely down to lack or preseason and so many new faces.

After Saturday and the formation/Selection I'm pretty mind made up that Monk will never be a successful manager

Which defenders are worse than last years?

Antonnson, Roofe, Wood, Doukara or Antenucci, Wood, Doukara?

Midfield, we sold Cook, seemed impossible to hold on to him, O'Kane we need to see what he offers. Bridcutt was a loanee last year, this time around he is permanent, all things considered where are we weaker in midfield?

Not saying we are a promotion team but certainly better than last seasons.

 

Where do you think we have improved? Our centre backs are fewer and worse than last years, our goalkeepers head has gone. Byram would be captaining this team. Bridcut our best midfielder was average last season and won't improve. Dallas is ****. Wood is worse than all the forwards we had last year.

Wherever you suggest Improvement I will disagree. It's more of the same, and the only conclusion I can draw is that someone at the club wants us to play a certain way and it's gone on for five watermelons now.

Goal Keepers, we have the same with the addition of Green. Monk signed Green, Monk continues to play Green, Monk placed Silvestre on the transfer list then puts him on the bench.

Last Season - Berardi/Coyle, Bamba, Cooper, Bellusci, Taylor
This Seson - Berardi/Coyle/Ayling, Bartley, Pontius, Cooper, Taylor, Denton

How is this seasons worse, will await an answer then move on to midfield

You say we have a better squad and player for player or as a squad I disagree.
Can't think of one player from this squad is really better than last year.
Yet again I am left asking why someone thinks the league table is wrong?

 

We started last season with byram he is better than Ayling. The rest are all equally crap and Bellusci might be better than the replacements. Too early to tell but no evidence to support your "we are better" theory at this time.

You haven't slightly answered but obviously you don't wish to, I think Pontius and Bartley are head and shoulders above Bamba and Bellusci, we still have Bellusci, he is only on loan.

We have the same RBs plus extra cover and Byram? He was a midfield player who we sold at the mid season point, for future debate are we discussing are we stronger than last seasons starting squad or the squad we finished with?

 

1-0 down with 20 mins to go, and the players you had on the pitch to try and equalize were Wood, Doukora, Mowatt, Phillips, Bridcutt and Roofe - apart from Roofe (who has made a massive step up and is unproven at your level) , these were all in the side that finished in the bottom half last season - how is that an improvement - your head coach is playing these players because he obviously thinks they are your best option

 

In fact, Mowatt and Phillips struggled to get into Evans' team!!

 

Phillips is a decent player and better than Diacouraga, so there's an improvement on last season. Also takes a decent free kick

Not much point trying to debate anything if you are going to cite rubbish.
We ain't seen anything from Pontius, and Bartley thus far to give him a potential excuse seems to have heavy shirt issues. Regarding Byram he is a right back despite our mad **** owner telling water melons to turn him into a winger.
Defence is no better. The lack of clean sheets is all the evidence you need.

The midfield is just poor, and the wingers might as well not play.
Up front Wood is the worst we have had, and new Ant is a huffer and puffer with no product.

Roofe and Sacko won't make it, Dallas needs to go, Bridcutt is average, Mowatt is poor.

You are the one making the claims of better players. Provide any evidence that proves it.... I wasnt there but have now spoken to lots that were and the second half against udders field as spineless, clueless and effortless. Good players don't roll over.

Signing Green was complete ineptitude but Silvestri is every bit as bad.

It's pure stubbornness to say the squad isn't better. I can clearly see what ristac is saying and agree.

Everything else is definitely up to debate

 

So why can't these better play in any of the formations we have tried.

We have been here too many times and too many are too willing to delude themselves yet again. We have recruited ****e but with no scouting network you can't be shocked.
