Danny is tenacious for me and brave. Two qualities I like in my defenders. Debuchy and janmaat are both great going forwards. They allow crosses to come in for fun, never seem aware of what is behind them and not particularly great on the cover. I think if you have two world class centre halfs or play a back 3 a la Pochettino/Bielsa/Gallarado, then you want a Janmaat or Debuchy. We need to decide what formation we want to play. You need a Dier or libero type to step into midfield when required, or sit when required to really get the best out of adventurous full backs. Its the old Brazilian way of doing it. Barca, Spain, Bayern, Germany have used it massively in recent years.
