Boy this is exactly how I saw it (we must have both been at the same match)
Yes to JET, yes to the defending, yes to the subs, Yes to henry, especially when he was moved to the 10 spot, yes to Konchesky..great game, yes to Chery.

As it says everything I was think...the article is a great read

 

For those of you on this forum who missed the match yesterday, read this report. THIS is how it was, positives and negatives. Stop arguing about Henry: this guy has it right (and I say that as someone who thought Henry was one of our best performers last season.)

My only slight disagreement with the report would be with regard to Toszer. Yes, his free kick delivery was usually very good but his general game left a lot to be desired, particularly his passing.

Clive usually also rates the referee but he doesn't merit a mention here. Let me make up for this oversight: he was AWFUL.

 

A very good read indeed.
Henry is an enigma. I thought he would do better at this level.
I can only imagine there are factors we're unaware of as to why he keeps starting.

 

Good read and very encouraging with regards to JET - great signing, he's only 24 with something to prove and if fit needs to be starting every game while Charlie is off and possibly joining him up front when he returns.

He gets it right and sometimes very wrong ... Both times he replies on a forum ... He doesn't hide and what's more he gives other fans his ideas before the match

Forums replaced these dinosaurs years ago and IMO far more entertaining

Thanks for posting this Beth. I've only seen the highlights but this time most seem to have pretty much the same view of the game.

 

Antti's kneejerks are unmissable IMO.

Many decent points in the article but...

Comparing our defensive woes to the Scum is ludicrous. They are playing against some of the best strike forces in the world; we are playing Bolton, Fulham, Rotherham, etc. If defenders can't perform the basics and pick up attackers in the box then they have no place on the team. If a manager can't tell them this simple truth then he has no place at the club.

People who think Tosser had a decent game on Saturday are either partially sighted or think being better than Karl Henry makes you good.

 

In super mood Beth, Love this forum and I feel it's a true reflection on R's fans … Don't like the format of post reaction from so called writers and of course support full freedom of speech. Back in the UK and only have a few weekends in France to look forward to. Hopefully next year will make a more permanent move to the South and then of course you are welcome as is any Not606 member who i have met and know.

I haven't seen Henry play this year but in the right position I am sure he can command plus he has been brilliant servant to the club IMO

Faurlin … love him but like them all has to prove it in the NOW

Chewing the fat each week is habit forming IMO … it's also lazy
