After what happened at the Millenium Stadium there will be more than a fair share of players from Wales going to Australia. It was men against boys and some of the English will be staying at home.

My team would be (on form)

    15. Halfpenny
    14. Cuthbert
    13. O'Driscoll
    12. Roberts
    11. North
    10. Sexton
    9. Phillips

    8. Robshaw
    7. Tipuric
    6. Warburton
    5. Laws
    4. Aw Jones
    3. Jones
    2. Best
    1. Jenkins.

Sorry can't find room for any Scots and I would make Brian O'Driscoll Lions captain.

Not that much of a surprise in the end but am still staggered that Robshaw lost out. To bring some balance though i don't see why hartley was in ahead of Best either.

As a Welshman I'm pleased with the selection but i must confess that im more than surprised the the captaincy went to Warburton....I personally think he is the wrong choice....

Good squad but surprised by a few of the front row selections and also think WG is taking a big risk with just 2 fly halves for a long hard tour

If you arent taking a 3rd specialist, there should always be a place for a utility type back in my squad. It allows for good cover on the bench and a different skill set (like Hook/12trees type). The backs that are going are very similar, but definately a WG stylee.

One of the reasons ickle Shane made it was because he covered the scrum half position also, thus allowing for extra forward subs.
