A lot of girls on my Facebook wanted Campbell to win on the basis that "Tommy is a knob/arrogant prick/arsehole". Guess he doesn't make a good impression of himself on a night out?

 

The view from ringside was pretty special!

 

Snodgrass was stone cold sober when I saw him in the bar he was drinking water.

Didn't see the others but Ashbee was a few seats away looking sharp in a velvet blazer!

 

Someone else told me today that he's an arrogant prick, and on this occasion it was a bloke who works for a company that Coyle buys products from. I was always backing Luke anyway, he's a west Hull lad

Patty you can't call someone into question then **** up yourself, it just doesn't have the same impact.

 

He's committed, though. You've got to give him that.

 

Yeah but so was Coyle and he got knocked out Kemps.

I know what ugly people are in Hull.. I spend 6 months there.

 

Thoroughly entertaining contest, both did the City proud, Luke just different class to Tommy, but he gave it a good go. Impressed with Campbell's approach, and didn't get lulled into a brawl, and just boxed his way to the win.

 

The way Luke just laughed off the cheap shots was good to see, he obviously has his head screwed on. Didn't think much of Tommy before the fight but that lad has the heart of a lion, he did himself proud against a far superior fighter.

 

Was you anywhere near the crowd kerfuffle?

 

No it was quite a bit further back and at the opposite side of the ring so we couldn't see it at all. It didn't seem to go on for long though, a few security guards rushed passed us to go sort it and they came back 30 seconds later so it can't have been that bad.

I'm not surprised though, there were so many people that could barely walk they'd drank that much, more than I've ever seen at any other sporting event. It doesn't take much to set something off when there's a few people like that.

 

In certain circles Tommy Coyle has had a bad reputation, but that was from a while back now. He seems like a great bloke to me, and never mind the fact that most of us have had our moments of being knobs so greenhouses and stones and all that...

 

I had a brief chat with him recently at a business event where he was talking about his gym / academies
Came across really pleasant to me. He's doing some good work with kids as well by the sounds of it

 

I don't see how anyone who makes a living from punching people to a bloody pulp can be classed as pleasant or a gent, but there you go.

 

I know toms dad well! And he's as mad as a hatter! But Tom takes after his mother who's totally the opposite!
