    Question for all of you:
I haven't seen much of the football this season.
So after this brilliant run in the League Cup, do the majority of Saints fans still want Puel out (as it seems from listening to 606)?
Or was that simply because we lost 4 games in a row in the league?
And do you think we are playing 'boring' football (and do we care?)
It seems this season is a really interesting one in terms of who we are and where we're going.
I've heard lots of negativity, but we're 11th and in a cup final!
    COYS!

The idiots that phone into 606 don't represent the majority of Saints fans, that's all that matters.

We lost 4 in a row and with some poor performances and people got ruffled. It was just coupled with the Fonte saga, and a supposed lack of investment, when a forward should have been bought in the summer, and we're now a CB (or two) short.

lol. I love the "go on, go on" as shane gets it, then there is a complete hush as he strikes it, followed by bedlam!

I've not lost faith in Saints or Claude bar possibly half way through the Norwich game (though that was more boredom and illness than a real gripe).

Our performances have been fine; we've created plenty of chances. And (to me at least) our goals to chances ratio is (or was, hopefully) just a statistical blip.

606 is a place for loudmouthed idiots to blow off steam, nothing more.

    Vin

Can't watch any of those on my phone for some reason but will give me something to do on my night shift later :)

I don't understand why people take videos during the game... but I damn sure like watching them!

One of the biggest gripes from those that have criticised Puel, (not me I hasten to add) has been his rotation principles.
In this game we saw the benefit of that policy, whereby two youngsters who had been gradually introduced into the first team, were trusted to do a job and boy did they both deliver.
Stephens didn't look out of place, defending against one of the most prolific attacking sides in the EPL, and Sims showed calmness and maturity with that lung busting run, whilst keeping the ball under control all the way, before playing Long in.
Believe it or not, but some Liverpool fans are now calling for Klopp to be replaced. Really!
All clubs have fans that, IMO, fail to see the bigger picture, the long term plan, and, as a result, they fail to see the good that is being achieved, even allowing for a few poor results/performances.
Puel has put faith in the youngsters (those same youngsters that weren't good enough last season, if a certain lying Dutchman is to be believed) and as a result we now have greater depth to the squad and I for one am not greatly concerned when I see one of them named in the starting lineup, or several of them on the bench.
Our style of play is still in the development stage.
Against the better teams, that attack us, I believe we will be happy to sit back and hit on the counter, at pace.
Against teams that sit back, we may still struggle, until we start converting more chances/half chances.

Koeman gets a lot of stick for saying that, but now at Everton he's really not that shy to play youngsters - Davies has grabbed a starting place and Lookman is also getting some minutes almost every match.

Lookman is a £10m new signing, not a youth player coming through.

Yep - good replies guys, I'm glad to hear your opinions pretty much reflect my own.
Glad to be rid of the Lying Dutchman; I'm happy to say that he did well for us over a period of time that could have been difficult, but he didn't buy in to our philosophy. And anyway he is not all that - he's not exactly been a rEvertolation.
I'm glad we have a manager that signs up to Les' vision, and glad to have youngsters coming through again!
I guess there's always a balance between bringing youngsters through, selling players, and league position/ success on the pitch.
I'm happy to accept that we're not one of the big boys, and be confined to the Premiere League establishment whilst scrapping for Europa league and cup finals every year whilst being financially stable and producing the next England team - all with the odd chance of doing what Leicester did last year.
    Exciting times!

Doesn't matter what he's doing now, in my opinion ... he was bang out of order saying what he did so publically. The bloke was a complete tosser when it came to our academy ... his quote after we beat them 1-0 ref: Sims summed up his attitude towards our academy.
