I'm not yet not606 savvy to merge -but - back to thread title - not too sure if either is a waste of space - -remember Buckleys debut against Man Utd - showed something new - maybe that BSA will ressurrect those skills, improve his confidence and onwards -
:emoticon-0133-wait: I recall that he is good in the tackle - very pacy - could he be a wing-back ?
Bridcutt is strong but a bit too small for premier imo <doh>

I think Buckley may just be on the bench today.

Must admit both have been inconsistent, unlike some of our 10m + purchases <laugh>

No - trying to be objective - Bridcutt came with unrealistic reputation courtesy of Gus -not able to live up to that with little premiership game time in a struggling team -imo
Buckley - see my above post
But if you don't agree - fine its an open forum with open views and open debate- but I know many others agree with you - no problem

****e maybe, but height? Utter bollox. It's all about good coaching, flair, playing him in the right position and confidence. So maybe......maybe, BSA can instil that in him.

    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=n...b&client=safari#hl=en-gb&q=height of bridcutt
    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=height of kevin phillips&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari

The height part was, obviously, completely irrelevant to the point that I made <doh>

Why not just end this thread about players not good enough - BSA will decide if Buckley is good enough for the current Sunderland team - with my long history of suffering - feel we are about to realise our "sleepin giant" <applause>

I think in the role Bridcutt plays height is a must. A CF/ST or skill based players like Phillips or Messi can do their job with or without height. When you're trying to win aerial challenges against the likes of Toure, Schweinsteiger, etc it can't be done when you're at the lower end of 5'.

I think Buckley has shown the odd bit of ability, I've no objection to BSA having a look.

Bridcutt isn't good enough, not the lads fault, he just isn't.
