Off Topic MAFIA GAME THREAD - Mafia v The Town of Forumshire

I got the first godfather to get the ball rolling then the second but more importantly I sacked valley

 

that was my fault shouldn't have recruited him due to the way the first days votes went but i had a theory that he was the investigator which turned out to be utter bollocks.

 

I was the investigator. I was meant to investigate Astro earlier but told Bisc I wanted to investigate Tobes instead.

If I'd had investigated Astro when I wanted I would have caught him in action. But I ended up following on a night when Mafia didn't do anything so started to doubt him.

 

ACS, me and Solid wasn't a great mafia combo tbh. Neither ACS or I get on due to work and I think Solid is a different time zone (or night shifts?) making it difficult to form a strategy.

For example, Solid didn't seem to be able to get his head around why we didn't kill Astro on the first night. The reason we were given was "he wasn't at home". Only explanation was the barman got him drunk (investigation was after mafia night action). If we'd had more time I'd have explained it properly.

At the end of the day, mafia had a shocker and town got lucky as **** to hit mafia so quickly.

I think the most obvious giveaway was, as Zingy pointed out, when ACS changed his vote onto you instead of trying to save himself.

The only possible reason he had for doing that was to distance yourself from him which revealed you straight away.

mafia were really unlucky to lose day 1. Then lose their automatic recruit day 2 before was recruited night 3

 

I didn't confuse myself, I thought the barman would be allowed to get himself drunk which would be a typical "protect yourself the first night move" by Astro. I changed my mind when I realised the barman gets a reading on the player too. Getting yourself drink would be a waste then, something Astro wouldn't do.

Lucaaas and Zingy both spotted ACS trying to distance himself from me in the first day
