He says it is a good club. He doesn't say it is a well run club. He also says if run well it can be a successful club. Having just been relegated I suggest he implies we are not very well run at the moment.
Have to agree with bummers. Maloney means from a football perspective. Which is all players think about. Brucey kept the players apart from all the other stuff. He used to say they let him get on with it. I imagine Ehab let phelan and Marco continue like that
Yeah and just insisted on changing the title to head coach for a laugh but yeah nah he totally leaves them to it don't worry.
Eh ? I didn't think that was ever clarified. Phelan said he was manager Conte just win the league and said he's head coach and doesn't like manager.
The Tigers are pleased to confirm the appointment of Mike Phelan as the Club’s new Head Coach on a permanent basis. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...d-head-coach-3360763.aspx#LcYtu6zHQ5tmPbU2.99
It's very rare for a player to comment on the running of a club, Maloney is being critical of the divisions between club and supporters
Davies at the start of the season, Thud and Robbo, Maloney now, and veiled comments from Silva. All saying the same thing - Ehab you have ****ed the club up.
But that isn't saying it's a well run club. Indeed, as someone else has already mentioned, he also says "IF it is run well, it can be a pretty successful club". This suggests he doesn't think the club is run well at the moment.
I think we all try to analyse the statements of footballers too closely They certainly won't be drafting and redrafting their own statements and pouring over them as much as we do! I hope Maloney stays...but I assume he's off
All reports point to him going to Aberdeen, including the BBC which tends to imply it's accurate. Shame as he's a very useful impact sub. He's been woefully underused for free-kicks as IMHO he's actually better than Snodgrass ever was at that kind of thing.
