I hope that JM gives a rest to Pogba and Zlatan. Fat chance of that happening though as Jose doesn't trust anyone else to replace those 2.
Too early to open the thread IMO. Great OP though. Apparently it's your 55th consecutive FA cup game on TV. They even tried to rig it to give you as boring a tie as possible and it's still been picked.
We're always live in the FA cup, it's the law. The fact that this is 12.30 gives me a headache as it means I'm getting up at half five to avoid the carnage that is the M6 and I will have to scoop my son out of bed and stick him in the car in his pyjamas as the little sod likes a lie in. Other than that though it's a decent finish time which frees up the afternoon for some leisurely grub. I don't see why Pogba needs a rest but do agree Zlatan should be on the bench for this one. Personally, I would pick Rooney as centre forward, if fit.
We shouldn't play Pogba every single match just because we've paid ****ing £200m for him. He might get injured and for what? Playing against a team we should easily beat with our bench players. He is the main difference between LVG's and JM's teams imo. Boring as possible? the tie of the round if you must know https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...united-treble-old-trafford-fa-cup-third-round
The difference is he's 23, I see no reason at all why he needs a rest. If anything the more he plays the sharper he will become. You can't protect players from injury, they can happen in any game, league as well as cup, so it's a pointless thing to do. Chances are he will be rested but I'd as soon see him play and make sure we win. The alternative is we play 'bench' players (Fellaini probably), we don't win, and we end up with the extra game in a replay.
I'm not so sure. I think Reading may just cause us some problems. They're playing well atm and have a lot of self-belief. Have a feeling this won't be an easy game.
Maybe. They are a decent side. I meant more that it's a home game against a drab town who have played at Old Trafford plenty of times in recent years. If it was at Reading I'd understand it more. Saying that, the whole list of ties is unappealing.
My little lad us going to be gutted mind, he's going in his De Gea kit and I more or less promised he'd see him close up!!
I'm not going to the game tbh. I can get tickets for both the Hull games at home, but I really don't want to go midweek, which both are on. Bit fcked off that the membership means fck all these days as far as weekend games are concerned.
The TV company's will always put on the games that will attract the most viewers, when they have a free choice of games. I'm sure you'd do the same if you where the top man at BT Sport. Money talks at the end of the day
