Give Mata and Carrick a rest imo. Rest Ibrah again. Otherwise keep the same as today.

Fellaini had a good game today tbf.

JM is not stupid. He's seen how LVG been criticised for his possession football. World of difference between JM 's Chelsea and United.

To be honest I wouldn't mind having this team (Rooney, Rashford, Mata, Fellaini , blind, Romero et al ) playing in all our cup competitions.

We have Hull at home for the EFL semi and the RS in the premiership. Both are in decline and there is good reason to be hopeful for 10 wins.

Was a good performance yesterday, I must say. They all played well.

The big surprise to me was Carrick even playing, given his run of games lately. Schweinsteiger showed he's a more than able substitute for him in that position though, albeit briefly.

Credit to Fellaini, he played very well. Having said that it was a lower level opposition but credit where it's due.

No idea where this leaves Darmian if Young gets in ahead of him at right back, or was he injured?

Paper talk today of Darmian going to Juve - might even be the reason for some of the Evra stories of a transfer back or even a possible swap deal..

I think JM missed a trick yesterday. He should have played Pogba Zlatan Mikhi DeGea et al (his first team) and then rest them for the hull game. That would have provided a good 7 days rest for our first 11.

He said today that the big guns will be coming back for Hull. I think the EFL and FA Cups should be reserved for our second string/bench players. Now the same players who have played Tuesday will be on again on Sunday. With only 4 days to recover.

He likes the league Cup, always has.

It was the first trophy he won with Chelsea and I think he, rightly, sees it as a significant trophy to get on the board quickly.

Mourinho is a trophy hoarder. He wants to win the League Cup.

Hull should be a stroll so no problem for Pogba and co to play two games in a few days.
