I for one am looking forward to european football kicking back off again and will celebrate by sloping off to the pub to watch and will consume many pints while not posting on this thread.

I'm only doing the thread so Trebs can vent his spleen. That and I guarantee a two nil win.

Interesting fact, last time we played this lot we had to play the home leg at Plymouth. ****ing Plymouth!! There had been trouble in the away leg, naughty boys. They had reached the european cup final two seasons before and were a pretty good side in those days.

I vividly remember a Manchester Evening News feature with their striker Dominique Rocheteau looking through the nets saying his was coming to get us or some other **** or other. That went well, we won anyway.

He had curly hair and massive eyebrows.

 

On the basis of that mega interesting fact alone I am going for a 3 - 0 win for us

I do think sometimes you forget on the odd occasion the opposition try to stop us playing and may try and score themselves.

 

I'd agree if it was the odd occasion, this has been inherent throughout the season. And I'd have to say the strategy to pass it around in triangles in our own half then pass aimlessly in the final third is hardly the opposition trying to stop us playing. This is dire football by us against a piss poor team quite frankly.

He's a goal scorer, no doubt about that, it's the cheating and diving I don't like. It's not really necessary.
