Some of us just want results, others want to be entertained during a game. A minority of **** performances, winning or losing is fair enough. Playing dross for most of the season regardless of results is just dull.

Based on how we've played, the result today is just flattering to deceive. The minute we come up against a quality side or one who is well orgnaised and capable of finishing their chances, in any competition, we'll be beaten... as we have plenty of the times this season.

    Spot on.

United played one of their worst games and won3-0. What? Fake news! " Didn't happen. Zlatan didn't score 3 goals. All manufactured. I tell you folks. If we could get on with st Etienne, it will be good for English football and good for the world too" I digress as I cannot get this intelligent hero of the American people out of my head.<yikes>

Bloody Zlatan. All he ****ing do is to score goals. ****. Why can't he pass the ball 50 times in front of the defence?

Any way, united can now forget about the Europa for a while as they are in the next round and go on to focus their next Cup competition. Just like the RS who have their hands full dealing with all these tournaments <whistle>

To be honest I wasn't much of a fan for the same reason. Incredible player, the best I've seen live, but I don't and will never get the very blatant cheating.

If there is physical contact, it is cheating?

Missed the first half tonight (at daughters for tea) but reading the sky match thread it didn't sound too good.
I was very pleased with the half I did see though, the attack is really starting to click and at speed too.
If we keep that up for the rest of the season we could end up top 3 and at least 1 cup in the cupboard.
How calm was Zlatan for that second goal, he just stood there and waited for the ball to reach him and tapped it in, no dramatics, no smashing it, just the right touch :emoticon-0100-smile

What do they say about taking each game at a time ? <whistle>

United in the cups is different to the one in the league. In the league, there have been too many draws even though we've dominated and deserved the win. In the cups, a draw means you can retrieve the situation and I feel there is less pressure on the players and it helps that compared to kloppyflop JM always fields a strong side. Maybe it was a policy of kloppyflop to focus on the top 5 trophy <whistle>

The Europa as a serious competition is newish to united as Fergie never took it seriously. We'll see how far we can go but it looks that no matter who JM selects he can field a competitive team. For me, martial should be a regular starter. And again he has proved our most dangerous player.

I like the fact that when Jose makes a sub early in the game, it more often than not changes the game for the better. I suppose the quality of players on the bench helps but you still need to recognise the problem before you can sort it :emoticon-0100-smile

It's even better when the sub replaces that useless lamppost.

On the whole, not a bad performance I thought. Tony Marshall seems back on his game and Pogba had a good game too. Shame we will be without Herrera for the return leg. I think they will offer a sterner test in the second leg so the three goals is a handy cushion to take over there.

    Zlatan for the penalty, this sprung to mind immediately;

I thought we were alright though, Rashford making an immediate improvement to the dandelion.

A bit bumbling for the first half hour but that seems to be the MO at the moment. It's ok, we won't lose 4 nil away so we're more or less through.

    I'm the complete opposite.

I used to think he was an overrated sack of ****e but I now think he's utterly brilliant and hilarious with it.

Proper character. Over 20 goals already, can't be argued with.

I'm not criticising his ability although I've rarely seen a player who gives the ball away more than he does, I just think he's a sly ****er. Never been a fan of cheating.

It wasn't even a deflection. It was a Zlatan trick shot <ok>
