Indeed. I think they're doomed. Which is why I fervently hope that the British never consider that the 'American Way' is anything to be considered as desirable and to be copied.
America is a spread out country...in some places you need to be able to defend yourself. We gave up the right to carry guns in return for protection by the police....we are an entirely different situation.
Culture infiltrates very slowly. It seeps in without the general populace being aware of it. Already, in the last 20 years, we've had an amnesty, and a general handing-in of firearms. I happen to know one or two otherwise sensible people who very much like the USA way of defending themselves, so never consider that it could never happen.
Yes, that is another downside that allowed the hacker to order stuff. On the positive side, the account doesn't show the whole card number, so Amazon was the only place it could be used, although I think it was best that the card was cancelled. A bit mystified that the hacker tried to buy such a relatively small amount, rather than try and fill his/her boots. Another downside, a monthly payment I have with Apple has failed since cancelling the old card.
I note that some are blaming the recent BA problems on the fact that they moved IT to India. A friend of mine lost his job as an IT troubleshooter at Gatwick at the time and said they'd be sorry. Took a while, but I bet he is looking smug now.

Tiger Woods has been arrested on a drink-drive charge. Idiot. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40087317
Thats sad, feel for the family and thoughts with them. Not all that suprising though, zoos are very cruel imo.
Spot on, complete idiot along with all drink drivers. Tbf, his driving has been poor for ages, along with his swinging, chipping and putting.
Some of the More Mature Posters might remember back to when driving home from the pub was considered at worst bad form, well it's sort of like that now in lots of the US. Portugal is notoriously the worst in Europe and US are well ahead of that. Oh and roads in built up areas are stupid, optional red lights and stuff.
