The Sky TV cameras roll into Kenilworth Road for a must win promotion battle, as after the weekends results it leaves the Chairboys with a cushion of just one point in the race for the auto’s and the Hatters with the same margin of dropping out of the play offs, real squeaky bum time with only eight games remaining after this one. Once again Gaz is keeping his cards close to his chest on any injury news but he is working tirelessly in securing the services of Sam Saunders and Nico Yennaris for the rest of the season. I have my ticket and will be travelling to Bedfordshire for my forth away game of the season and I am looking forward to seeing us match the results of the previous three (Stevenage, Oxford and Cheltenham) and restore our cushion to four points
If anyone believes in omens then this game doesn't look good - we struggle midweek, struggle on sky and traditionally seem to be the team that people end their bad runs against. Having said that we seem to have thrown most omens out of the window this season and im hopeful that the las will be able to perform under the pressure of needing a win in this one!
To be fair jose it's only home midweek games we struggle in as we've had only the single defeat away at Exeter. I see Luton have injury problems and i see no reason we can't pick up 3 points.
Saunders and Yennaris loan deals extended until the end of the season and to include play-offs (please no) if needs be. Massive boost as they have both been important since they joined.
Yennaris looked like he has been playing at right back for a long time against the Shrews. Dont get me wrong Sido has been great but Yennaris had a bit more composure and class about him. Saunders has worked tirelessly and looks a threat going forward, he lacked a bit of match fitness at first but seems to be up to the task now, he could score a couple of crucial goals in the run in.
Id rather have sido back at right back so we could get Yennaris in midfield - him and bloomfield together looked an excellent combination and bean and murphy just aren't cutting it recently
Looking forward to being able to watch this one tonight. Going for a one all draw with us scoring first. Would be happy enough with a point and a decent performance.
My grandson is staying up to watch this with me so I'll be disappointed if they don't play well. It's on record just in case they do, and win.
