Yes - but Palace are historically not much different to us are they? Not exactly a premier London club - I suspect QPR fancy themselves as a bigger club than them
Great news. And after we went down to ten and lost 2-0 to Hull, he must have an idea of what he is getting himself into.
Given more time than he got with us, a decent board and owners and a sensible investment pot he should do well for you. Best of luck to you all
You have got to feel for the players. Now they have to learn Portuguese. Gomes will have to stay as he is the only native Portuguese speaker, even if it is a strange version of the language.
Hull fan... just wanted to say you've got a cracking manager on your hands. Very good tactically. Likes fast pacy forwards/wingers. Very detailed in his training, all the players and fans loved him, and he got on with the owner which is an achievement in its self. We run out of steam in the end. And he's far to good for the championship. So best of luck hope he does well Europe? I don't see why not. I just hope your erratic chairman sack him after a year. We get promoted and he comes back. Good luck marco.
I think QPR would definitely consider themselves at least on a par with Palace, Fulham as well. Maybe, compared to the rest of the South London clubs, they think themselves big - I grew up thinking of South London consisting of Suburban Palace, wombling Wimbledon, nasty Millwall and unassuming Charlton. Charlton being the most palatable of the four.
Tbh - Palace, QPR & Fulham are bigger than us as they have all won honours which we have not - yet....
So, imo this is fab news. Amazing how the atmosphere over social media has completely changed and this decision has uplifted even the most downbeat fans, except the odd one or two. Marco Silva ticks a lot of boxes and i have a very positive feeling about this. I suspect , though i could be wrong, that Deeney will still be gone, sounds like MS wants to bring in quite a few players he knows and trusts, also a good thing. Very happy, and from what the Hull fans are saying, we won't be finishing 17th next season COYH!
And it's high ho Silva lining, anywhere you go now Watford I see our sun is shining But I won't make a fuss, though it's obvious
As far as Troy going is weather MS thinks his money would be better spent . Or he wants to build a team around him. Troy knows most of the fans love him as he loves them .Going to WBA for big money you then have to perform from the start or they will be on his back
There's a growing proportion of Watford fans on his back, knowing that this season for him has been a bad one. He seems ready for the move too, i wouldn't be at all surprised if he's gone by the start of August, unless the money isn't on the table, then he's stuck with us
I worry that if we let Troy go then replacing him with players that are unknown to the EPL We need to replace Iggy so we are thinking of bring in 3 strikes ( as what we have has not set the world a light) .What would the cost be if we went down say 75M . Get Troy on board that we are building around him (so he gets his head right ) then we have a captain off and on the field i have been lucky to have talked with him a few times after good and bad games for us . He comes across as very down to earth
An interesting read that does make a lot of sense. http://www.footballwhispers.com/blog/6-tasks-watfords-marco-silva
