Looks like his days could be numbered.

I doubt many people would be too disappointed if he was given the job should it become available.

My first choice is Mark Warburton. That's if we don't get at least 6 points from our next 4 league games.

I think both would be attracted by Bristol City, a chairman who backs managers financially usually (barring cotts), especially Warburton who has realised the Rangers job is a crap one.

He's a very decent Manager, but I really can't see him wanting to leave Rangers (and with it European football) for us.

I do think NP would do a sterling job here as would AP and NW.

Either manager wouldn't excite me in the slightest if I'm honest....
Unless we can kidnap the likes of Steve Bruce, who's been there and done it or a Glenn Hoddle, I'd rather we stick with what we've got who loves the club and has got a hunger to be a decent manager......I think I may be alone!! :emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think

Of all the contenders mentioned (Steve Bruce aside who simply won't come here) I would like Rowett

We don't really know if Rowett is all that, did a bit for Birmingham and is available.....is he any better than what we've got?
I think if SL is really serious in getting us up to the promised land, he needs to put his hand in his pocket and get us a decent manager....Steve Bruce type.
Haven't we had enough of all these second rate managers we've had in the past?
We've got the stadium, we got a bit of money, we could get the fan base, time to go for it IMO. SL's not getting any younger, I'm sure he'd like to see his toy empire succeed!!...........................................................................And then I wake up!!!!!

Thing is, if you just want a nicey nicey guy who everyone likes in charge, then you had best prepare to play against the Fleetwoods and Sheffield Uniteds of League 1.
Nobody is asking you to go for a drink with the guy.
We just need a manager with a bit of spunk and some momentum, someone who the players will respect and maybe fear just a little.
Someone who can bring them a decent career and lift our club and its profile

Why wouldn't he come here ?
He went to Hull ffs, and Brum.

Except Hull is near to his roots, those are not A-list clubs exactly

Its a sad fact that if Coppell had been given the amount of cash LJ has been given, I doubt he would have left until we were established in the Premiership
