.....surely even he doesn't want to watch that **** for another season......home and away he sits through it.....has he forgotten his safe word..................
Unfortunately our owner is so naive that he believes what Mick tells him....and also he doesn't really care anyway.
He is certainly trying to......Magilton sacked for finishing in 9th........Mick will get a pat on the back for finishing 16th......he can't manage a football team but he seems to be able to manager the owner well enough.
It seems like we've reached the point of no return, I just can't quite believe he will be our manager next season. We won't be a football club we'll be an empty shell At least next season not as many people will have to be put through the torture of what is watching a Mick Mccarthy team try to play football!!
Our target should really be the muppet who gave him a year extension on his contract.Just think,we'd be rid of him by now.
Slightly different situation back then though, new owner had just come in and Jim had spunked an absolute fortune down the toilet and we were going backwards, not forwards. For what it's worth I loved Jim as manager until he was given the pot of gold when Evans came to town. Three CM was not what the doctor ordered the 08 January transfer window but there we go.
Westie do you feel we are moving forwards now??.....I don't......Mick spunked at least a million for Williams to sit on the physio table.
Weighty he didn't - the deal was pay as you play which explains why when Williams was fit at the end of the season he didn't play. Whilst the move didn't work out and he's sadly made of glass, we ( for once ) actually secured a very good deal. This season clearly we moved backwards - bloody awful of that we can all agree. However, overall I don't think a bad job ( results wise ) has happened since Mick arrived and personally I'm more than happy for him to stay another year. That isn't to say I'm happy with how things are - I just think given what we allow our manager to spend in relation to other clubs it's the best idea at present. I understand many would like him gone tomorrow and if he were gone - I wouldn't be devastated or anything change could be what we need. Who knows. All I do know is whoever is incharge next season is going to face the following clubs who will all spend more than us - * Wolves + Brum will blow a fortune on the Prem. * Wendy should they not go up will spend bucket loads more. * Nodge + Villa still have parachute ££££ and will go for it again. * Three relegated prem clubs with ridiculous ££££ * Derby / Bristol City will go again - Leeds again. I'm far from happy, but without some backing from Evans I make that ( if you go down the ££££ / black and white / paper ) route 11th the best we can achieve next year. You then have the likes of Forest with a good manager, Warnock will achieve at Cardiff, strong sides coming up and all of a sudden it's very difficult if not nigh on impossible to work out a league table for next year. I just don't see where the hell we are going - and if Mick were sacked I think it'd be very tough for the new gafa to achieve too.
I heard it was a fee in the region of 1million. Under Evans and Mick we are only going one way I'm afraid.
I don't give a stuff what other clubs do or don't spend, I just want us to play better football, which just ain't going to happen with Mick in charge.I am resigned to the fact that he will see out his (unwarranted) contract extension but I am certainly not happy about it and see next Season as a complete waste of money on my Season Ticket renewal.
