Right, I'm willing to do it. But I'd want to be more of a board administrator than a mod. I'm on a lot so would be on hand to pin and close and delete topics at the request of posters.

Why would I get upset? Don't even want to do it but something needs doing as you say and there aren't a lot of volunteers. There's clearly two problems with the mods on this board, the lack of mediation and the lack of admin. I'm volunteering to see to the admin part. Simples

I'd be happy to leave well alone.. O.k., today Tees asked for a thread to be removed, and it wasn't done too quickly. But there's football being played, so maybe mods were just watching t.v. or suchlike. It's not a full-time form of employment, so these things happen.

If one's to be replaced, I'd second Blunham (if he'd want the job)

Sorry mate. It is a bit of a problem.

Ifirst became a mod on here ((the first time) because of the time difference. All the late night ****e (usually mine and maybe rog etc) was easy.

At that time. There was only three. My old mucka Gonads. The legend Cyprussid and myself.

Now there are five.

Too many mods is a bad thing, it makes it easy for them to sit back and do **** all and it's easier for communication breakdown to occur. In my opinion you want two or three tops.

They need to be on a lot and ideally they can handle different times throughout the day but there will always be instances where something can't be actioned straight away. You're better off thinking before you post something you don't want to if you're going to get pissed off that the mods are likely with their families or something at the weekend.

Good luck to anyone who takes it on, it's not really much work at all but when it is it's a bit of a ballache.

 

Blunham, Bri and Marcus might make a very decent team. Level headed, cover different hours, generally not the most controversial posters.

All depends though. The mods we have might want to stay mods and that's entirely up to them
