It's been reported that Marcus Evans is scared the Mick could walk away in the summer..............so to keep him he will bankroll a January spending spree.............lets see how much Evans rates Mick. Current spree......10k..............
I wouldn't blame him if he did. He could be frustrated at identifying targets just to see the deal not be done. Here's hoping for a change in strategy.
TBH ever since ME arrived we have been **** at getting deals done......I recall Keane missing out on a few decent players due to penny pinching by others........I think we had Charlie Austin ready to sign but tried to screw him down.
The flip side is,possibly,Evans trying to get Mick to walk by not making the funds available??Let's see who's more stubborn.
where did you see this reported Weighty? Evans record with regards to paying quality money for quality players is absolutely appalling, that's why we are in this mess and its been going on for years.
It was included in a TWTD news story, claiming it was from The Sun. Recent interviews from Mick and others all seem to be having a dig at Evans if you ask me. Other news is that Berra could be heading back to Scotland during this window. Been a good player for us but time for him to go. I would rather have Smith on the left now anyway.
Agreed about the Berra situation SD, as I understand it hes off to Scotland at the end of the season anyway so if Tommys fit he might as well go now. Call me cynical if you like but ive no confidence whatsoever in Evans making funds available to bring in some quality players, he wouldn't even do it in the January window of the play off season but I would love to be proved wrong.
The Spree continues with the signing of Jordan Spence... Evans really showing the love for Mick to the tune of..................still 10k..........how long will this continue.
How long will it be before Financial Fair Play is trotted out after another pathetic foray into the transfer market.
If it's cheap and no one else wants them send them to PR to join the rest, what a laughing stock we've become.
The same happened with 'Reg' last year.. I'm just waiting for Tabb to be stood holding an Ipswich shirt, hailed as the solution for our midfield crisis.. "Ee's fabuolous is Tabby"
