So BSA has moved on to the England job and you can see that it means the world too him so I will wish him well. I would never begrudge a player or any member of the back room staff from taking a bigger and better opportunity (still debatable if the England job is better than managing SAFC). Now we have David Moyes as our manager and we need to get behind him and show him our support. In my opinion he did an excellent job at Everton on a not very big operating budget, he also promoted youth and brought in some very good players from the transfer market. So I live in hope that he can strengthen our squad and rather quickly too. He **** the bed a little at Manure but I don't put that solely on his door step. As for Sociedad he kept them up but didn't stay long enough to see what he could do. In summary I think we have a very good manager who has an eye for talent and once he gets the players to believe in his system can produce results. I'm excited to see where he can take us but I'm mildly concerned that he doesn't have much time to hit the market and bring in competition for places before the season is upon us. Also, rather concerned about Kirchoff and Catts. Anyone know if the have injuries and what they are? We are already weak in centre mid, especially in the DM role which they can both fill.
As has been reported Larsson is on extended leave due to the Euro's, I'm also worried about the German, we need him to get some game time before the season starts.
Moyes will want to see all options, and that's the problem, time is not on his side, and he is not a fire fighter, but its another case of not falling too far behind again, I would settle now for being out of the bottom three by Xmas, its an awful lack of ambition but a reflection of just where Sam has left us.
Dead right but we have a certain Jack Rodwell who has the latent talent but is not showing it on the pitch. He may resume his previous performances under Moyes. He may be our secret weapon - he was a very good youngster at Everton
Agree with all apart from the reference to "Sam has left us " bit -more where the FA have left us as BSA went to where he always wanted - No recriminations from me for that. But apologies if you did not mean to imply that

Do we all blame him for using us as a stepping stone. Never mind we now like you say have moyes. We are well behind other clubs due to the fiasco and need to get players in now Will panic set in who knows but we need them asp. Richards, junnuzi and kean are mentioned but nowt happening. Does moyes concentrate on the players we have inthe preseason games or does he push for new recruits. What ever he does he is left with little time to do anything. Let's see how he managers in this short time Welcome to the HARDEST JOB IN FOOTBALL
Sensible then. Without our main midfield disruptors we are a bit of a soft touch in the middle of the park.
Did you see the two matches? Pools and Rotherham we up for the challange. Hard in the tackle. Had a point to prove. Definitely right to keep them out. Up coming friendly matches are against equal or better pegged teams, should be more conventional friendlies and safer for the likes of Hoff.
Does anyone know if Moyes took the same back room staff that took to United to Sociodad? He said in his recent interview that he's going to meet all the staff and settle in but that might have just been a courtesy and he's planning a mass clear out.
Was at Rotherham, but only seen highlights of Pools. The ref would certainly have had his yellow out a few times at Rotherham if it was anything but a friendly. On a different matter, I still can't get over how horrible our 3rd strip is...
I didn't like it when it was released but thought I'll wait until I see the lads play in it. Mate, it's worse than last years green imo. Look they've all been turned inside out. Here's Khazri sat in the dressing room please log in to view this image
