selling to a relegation rival doesn't sound sensible to me. we're playing them in a few weeks aren't we? he'll probably be fukking brilliant. jesus christ.
It isn't just that he was ****e for us. He was totally unfit & made Taarabt look underweight! I can't believe that anyone has paid that amount for him!
Mutch is a good footballer just didnt show that with us as many players seem to go to ****e when they join us. Strang one for me think he will prove to be a good signing for them. Why we bother signing him?
If he was so unfit then why did we sign him? Why was he overweight? We've made a big loss yet again. Losing a 23 year old with potential for HR to bring in one of his 'top lads' will be criminal
Is he only 23 this is crazy when we got someone like Barton that's getting older and certainly won't get any better
Mutch ado about nothing. Initially i thought he was a good signing as he was very decent for Cardiff last year. But like everyone else we sign, he turned out to be utter cack once he pulled the hoops on. Only galling that we took a hit on his transfer fee. Wish we could have loaned him to Palace with a hope he regains form and allowing us to flog him later for an increased fee.
I have not seen anything in Mutch to suggest that he is anything but a very average footballer. However, as most players seem to turn to complete cack as soon as they join us, I will revise that observation after I've seen how he does for Palace.
Can't judge a young player on half a (stop/start) season! If we end up using the money raised to buy yet another ageing Spurs player I will be pissed off! So much for TF investing in youth. I'm starting to dislike my own club!
From Alan Pardew: "I think he's got talent and score goals, and hopefully in our environment he can have a little bit more success than he had at QPR." Make of that what you want. Imo we're a shambles.
Pretty damming statement there from Pardew. If he does go and do well at Palace, that is going to be rather embarrassing for Harry and co.
This will prove that Harrys magical man-management skills are nothing but a myth - Mutch will probably now be able to realise all that "potential" that Hary waffled on about when he bought him
I agree with daverangers and Steelmonkey this shows up as a great failure by Harry and his coaching staff. Mutch may not be the great first teamer we would hope him to be, but he is young enough for his game to improve. I reckon that Pardew will bring him on.
Harolds man management skills evaporated as soon as he walked through the doors at HQ. He had 25 games that season to keep us up and no matter how bad the atmosphere was as a supposed man manager supreme he should have have more out of that side than he did. Still what harm he had Hughes to blame for it going tits up. Also look how he has managed the tantrum known as AT (not allowed to say his name), a decent man manager would have got him onside the same way as Warnock did, instead we are still in the ongoing cycle of him going/staying/going/no one wants him/going....... I expect Pardew to make Mutch the quality player we believed he was when we signed him........Damming of Harold and his cronies indeed.
Hughes left him with a stronger squad (on paper) than we have now, and he had Remy and Samba added to it. I didn't believe Mutch was a quality player when we signed him, because I didn't know who he was (in fact I thought we was another player altogether). I still don't know who he is. You can't miss what you've never had.
