Because despite my answer on the "other thread" you think that the Tories actually will bring back fox hunting (they won't) and that because of my political leaning that means I am "enabling" fox hunters. Yep I know you were asking Chocolate Box Kid if he knew.
Nope, wide of the mark. It's because Under Armour sell a big range of 'hunting' clothing in the United States. Everything, in fact, bar the weaponry. It's something I absolutely don't like Saints being associated with.
Now that might indeed be true. Sadly. But it may not. It's not always the case. Here's what they say: I could bore people with my objections to this statement. Actually, I'm not entirely sure where myself, without reading it more carefully, but somehow, the gist of it doesn't give me a warm glow inside. I wonder where the non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements hit.? The Special Make-Up Shop is a good shop window for them. We've seen it ourselves on Saints UA promo videos.
I'm not radical about it though [perhaps that should be 'dyed in the wool'.?]. If you've bought UA clothing in ignorance, but had my stance on their attitude to hunting, then, personally I'd wear the clothing but not buy any other from them until they changed their policy. Let's face it, UA shirts aren't peanuts. Apparently, a couple of years back, they nearly did. Much to the US hunting fraternity's anger. They decided that discretion was the better part of company bankruptcy.
I wouldn't be seen dead in a football shirt unless I was playing and as that is not in the least likely you will never see me in a football shirt.
I used to do a bit of hunting (possibly more like poaching when I come to think of it) and have no problems with hunting with guns as long as it isn't trophy hunting. I love eating game, which doesn't tend to wander into the abbattoir for slaughter so I'd be missing out on some of my favourite foods if I got a downer on hunting and lived by my principles. Hunting animals for trophies on the other hand is just reprehensible imho.
I have little problem with hunting for food. If you do bring something down, eat it. I've eaten roadkill before. It was fine.
To go hunting over here, in North America. The hunter 1St has to buy a token to enable them to do so. There are only a certain amount of tokens available, the hunter can only buy so many too. Every animal has a quota. Their is no hunting allowed in national parks also.
That sounds a pretty good system, it certainly has some chance of controlling levels of hunting of individual species. I'm guessing some kind of culling is required at times in the national parks when animal populations fluctuate out of balance?
