Was aware that we had a look at Greening, but wasn`t aware we were in for Hobbs, can`t see Sven letting him go somehow, but hey who knows.
I think if we were to get another player in, then he deffinately has to be the right person that fits straight into this team, as we are looking absolutely quality at the moment. Maybe a tackler in the midfield would do us fine, other than that, I think we are sorted
I think cb cover is essential, if anything happens to chester, gerrard or daws, mcshane scares the crap out of me at cb. Would like to see a tough tackling midfielder too but not sure there's much of worth available.
Deano said on radio that he spoke to greening and he would have come but fulham wouldn't let him....maybe we will give it another try, he's just what we need.
we definetely need 2 defenders as cover for centre back and left back and a central midfielder. Dedryck Boyata at Man City fits the bill as does Jay Spearing at Liverpool and possibly Man Utd's Chris Smalling
a friend of mine lives opp the trainin ground down mill house woods lane and there was a small coloured guy training last week she asked who it was to the guards on the gate and although they had never heard of him they told her it was someone called boyata true
You can only do emergency loans now. As far as I know emergency loans have to be domestic ones to stop FIFA being able to block them, so Celtic can't do anything until the summer. According to the Man City website Boyata is 6'2". I wouldn't consider that small.
http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/sport/HULL-CITY-Tigers-linked-loan-Wolves-winger/article-3196743-detail/article.html kightly possible one!
Whose boyata true? seriously, someone did mention that Boyata was spotted at KC on deadline day, funnily enough i wouldnt recognise hime if i saw him
Why would we want Kightly ? A long time sick note who wouldn't be ready to play for several weeks and who would need time to get up to speed and even then who can guess how true to form he would be. I would rather we got in fullback cover and another central defender. Let Wolves do there own nurturing back to form we owe them nothing. If MM wants to loan out a player I'll have Myo or Hunt back lol.
Our current form probably rules out a loan from a championship club. On the other hand it opens the door for prem clubs who have players that they are not quite sure of or want out. I doubt we will have our socks blown off, but we won't be bringing players in on an emergency loan basis to sit on the bench. I am expecting at least one household name to come in before it's all done and dusted. Daz somebody or other is a possibility, any other?
Here you go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dedryck_Boyata Kightly was a class act, he's been out since Nov 2009 so it's a risk, but a midfield of Kightly-Evans-Koren_Stewart would be an exciting prospect.
Agreed, Kightly looked very good prior to his injury. But I have to ask: why are we considering a loan for someone who by his own admission isn't fit? He was targetting a return to the Wolves side by the end of the season. Surely if we are bringing loans in they should be ready to step in from day 1. Sounds too risky to me.
He's apparently a month away from competitive football and if we do a deal, I suspect we won't do it until the end of the month, that way he would be available for the play-offs if we managed to get that far.
