When does Kightly's contract run out? Cos surely it'd be worth signing him on a free when it does? I dont think he has much of a future at wolves anymore considering they have the likes of hunt, hammil and jarvis.

This is a REALLY dodgy decision for Nige.

Gerrard and Chester are proving to be a VERY GOOD partnership. If we bring somebody in on loan from the Premiership, his owning Club will want him to play regularly. If that happens it means dropping either Gerrard or Chester. What kind of message does that send out to the rest of the squad?

If we sign a loan player from the Championship as cover, is he going to be someone better than McShane who, at the same time, is willing to warm the bench? The answer to that is most probably "No" and therefore why bother when we have McShane.

Can't see how this can work out well and if I were Nige I would NOT sign another CB.

If Leicester want Hobbs to go a club where he's guaranteed first team games, then he won't come to us.

Unless it's a loan with a view to a permanent in the summer, I can't see this happening.

Think Kightly is out of contract at the end of the season, sure his name was on the list of Prem players set to become available on a free when someone posted the link. He could make an impact on this league for City, just wonder if the long term injury would mean it'll take him a while to get going again.

Remember Bostock? If he's not good enough to start, he'll go back and nothing bad will come of it. There's no reason to think NP would play him just to please other managers if he's doing crap.

as I said in a post yesterday, i think deal would be good 4 city due to the fact he is out of contract and for that reason i think he is the kind of player NP would definitely go for

I hear we are still trying for Greening, but neither Kightly or Hobbs will happen(though we may go back for Hobbs in the summer).
